I don't have a Bsc. I used an ND result to apply, hence the decision to apply for an Advance diploma program. Regarding the concerns about funds for subsequent sessions, I'm a freelancer who make a minimum of $4000 per month and I also work less than 20 hours per week. Can I show that as a proof?

Bro you are actually making more money than majority of people abroad. Making $4000 in a month for 80 hours work is a lot.

I don’t mind learning a trade from you if you can help me.

As it is often said, this process is a whole rollercoaster of different emotions and is draining; from the anxiety to Panic attacks BUT at the end of the day, it is worth it.

Nairobi will be on break tomorrow and on Thursday which leaves us to hearing positively from them on Friday (this week).

I pray and believe we all receive that good news- Love letter.

Happy Eid al-Fitr to all our Muslim Brothers and Sisters.

And to the rest of us, have a wonderful and restful break.

In the words of Mr. Frank, "it will end in praise".

Same here.

Happy Holidays.

Have a splendid time.

To start with, can we do a comprehensive write up, sight some instances, implication of these delays and send to their twitter handle? My thought though.

Other opinions are welcomed.

We all I believe we're Nigeria graduates either secondary school or Higher institution.
Great Nigerian Students!
Great gbogbo!! Great gbaba!!!

See below my own write up. We could get many others to make a comprehensive one. Den we can decide when and how to publish it on Twitter.

"Hello,
I hope this reaches you well. With careful writing, wish to thank the humble Nation Canada for giving us some privilege to become prospective and full students of Canada schools as this is really bringing a synergy between the two countries(Nigeria and Canada). The economy of Canada has really Become fast growing and competing with other great nations of the world. That been said, we have now noticed quite delays we applicants are facing to acquire a study permit into Canada. Comparing our processing time with other countries, it is really disheartening that Canada study applications from Nigeria are 1 month old, two months and some going to 6month before we get replies. We recently heard about the NSE route, but only few who got selected could get a decision within 2months as more than the said 20days. The rate at which students now defer admissions is so obvious due to the delay. Most people have made their plans on the month or time they expected/wish to return home after study to impact lives, and to develop the growing society and help fight economic fall. But the long process have made a lot to shift or extend visions and goals.
Recently, we see other applications from other countries getting replies in 20days or even less than that.
I believe international students are part of the growth of Canada so we wish the authorities reconsider our processing time.
Thanks and God bless you"

Greetings all,

Please does it amount to shooting oneself on the legs by sending IELTS General Training to IRCC upon their request for IELTS test result for accelerated assessment of the application?

Please bear in mind that the request doesn't state if its IELTS Academic or GT.

I have a valid IELTS GT TRF and I'm wondering if I can answer YES to the question asking if you have IELTS on the study permit application to satisfy the conditions for accelerated assessment. Has anyone done this before and still got approved?
It doesn't matter if it's academic or general

This is just a build up on what you typed. We can still await further input before we get a final draft.

Good day,
I hope this meets you well.
With careful writing, we wish to thank the humble Nation of Canada for giving us the privilege and opportunity to gain knowledge in Canada through quality education. This has helped to build a synergy between both countries(Nigeria and Canada). The economy of Canada has become a fast growing one, competing with other great nations of the world.

However, recently we have noticed prolonged delays in study permits applications for prospective Nigerian students.
We understand that the COVID-19 has had an impact in processing times but in comparison with our counterparts from other countries, applications from Nigeria have been extraordinarily slow and prolonged.
Some applications are as old as 8 months and a lot of pending applications are within 3-6 months.
Recently, the NIGERIAN student Express scheme (NSE) was established to help speed up processing times to 20 days for students who could meet certain criteria.
This however is not this case because even after going through NSE the applications still take an average of 2-3 months before decisions are made.

The rate at which students now defer admissions is rampant and this is due to the delay in getting application decisions.
This deferment has put in dent in their plans as they already have commitments based on the time they expect to return home after study to impact lives, and to develop the growing society and help fight economic fall.
The long processing has made a lot to extend visions and goals.

Recently, we see other applications from other countries getting replies in 20days or even less than that.
We believe international students are part of the growth of Canada so we wish the authorities reconsider our processing time and help speed up the application processes.
Thank you and God bless.

Wow. This is great. Abeg you fit exaggerate small?. Like its easier for a camel to pass through the hole of needle than getting response after 4 months of complete application .

Abeg start the time we get response with four months.

Whereas India with higher population gets response within weeks to the extent someone get decision 4 times in less than 3 months.
