Henderson is a lot more commanding and guards the box a lot more than De Gea like other top goalkeepers. De gea is a much better shot stopper and is good in games where we invite a lot of pressure.

But every goalkeeper I've seen since i started watching football peaked in their 30s. I dont see why De Gea would the one goalkeeper to break that trend. Why would we risk losing him in his peak years, for Dean Henderson?

De Gea still has at least 4-5 years of still being a top goalkeeper. Being from the academy doesn’t merit you getting game time, Henderson is not better than De Gea and won’t be for a while.

I really like Hendo, and would like him to be no.1 long-term. But goalkeepers have a much longer playing career.

De Gea is probably only about to enter his “peak”, and is consistently playing closer to the best levels we’ve seen. No need to sell him..
