The subsequent Military Coupist of the 70's, ending up with Abdusallami Abubakar are the culprits for all the cheating and shennanigans crippling Nigeria today.
These are the guys that manipulated and created all these undue advantages for the North.
Imagine that they will create about three states out of One state in the North which initially has about 13LGA, inflate its LGA to about 45 and give about 43 LGA's to each of the States created out of it while the total population density of the three states will be less that hte population of a single state in the South but with 15LGAs.

The reason they did this was that they have pegged sharing of the Revenue Formula (Revenue mainly from the South) on the NUMBER OF LAGs!
States like Lagos Oyo, Rivers, Anambra with very huge population, should be getting five times of what states like Zamfara, Yobe or Adamawa are getting from the National treasury but the reverse is the situation!

This is one of the reasons the current 1999 constitution is a FRAUD, why Nigeria must restructure or breakup into pieces, the cheating is too much.
