Agreed with this. If Gill hadn't left, maybe we'd have gotten good player recruitments for Nwoyes and the others. At least the transfer policy wouldn't have been as shiitty as it was.

Having said that, it speaks volumes that the Glazers replaced David Gill with Ed Woodward, a man who hasn't an iota about football and only knows how to make money. That's when the trouble kinda started. If they'd added someone who is smart about football alongside Woodward, we'd know that their intention wasn't about making money alone.

I have never doubted his ability but the one fear I have is how he'll handle the pressure of playing for United...It is a lot easier to take to the field as a Sheffield United player but once your don the Manchester United Jersey, there's added scrutiny to everything you do...I hope he picks himself up and brace up for the challenge...
