LANDING GIST
Nigeria to Toronto Canada Airline: Lufthansa and Air Canada
Important thing to note: Carry your fav snacks in your hand luggage, you may not like the food at all. They served vegetarian pasta on both flights
*Checkin -Nigeria* Study permit Flight ticket Arrive can 3 day hotel booking Enrollment letter (heard they won't let you checkin without it even though its not a requirement on the Canadian govt website.)
*Frankfurt* No document asked They just reprinted my boarding pass and that was it
*Toronto* Letter of acceptance Tuition payment I was not asked anything about enrollment in Toronto. So it means its the Nigerian airport carrying it on their head for whatever reason.
My flight landed Toronto around Noon on the 14th. The airport was very quick. Went through the customs border and immigration in less than 15 minutes.
*Questions asked* Name of school Why I chose my school Who is sponsoring me They asked if I would be paying my sponsor back .. I said no and they asked why .. I said because she's my senior sister and that's how family supports each other. The officer asked me where my sponsor works and then issued my study permit.
I thankGod for a seamless process. I am also happy I used Lufthansa. The flight was not full at all and it wa very comfortable like some people had a whole 4 seats to sleep on.
I was wondering why Nigeria is particular about enrollment and I think the best way to get around that especially if you have taken semesters before is to simply email CBSA to ask if enrollment is a requirement for travel then maybe print their response and take it with you to the airport. Spring and summer is a known holiday for students so I don't know why they are particular about it. Most students and even Canadians don't take classes this period. They go to the beach and chill. Some companies even close to observe the holiday.
Wishing everyone good luck 46 Likes 4 Shares |

Frankrobbn1:
You don't necessarily need to print nor sign any of the immigration forms for a Canadian visa application. Upon successful uploading of documents into their respective columns, you will be prompted to use your full name as written on your international passport to electronically sign and transmit your application to IRCC.
It will end in praise Pls Frank Bro check your mail thanks |

MindfulV: Hello Gurus of Nairaland.
I have a question about proof of funds for the second year of study. Do I have to attach any form of documentation to backup my claim about how I will be funding my second year tuition and living expense?
Say I am entitled to a certain percentage of my salary while away on study leave and I want to reference this as my POF for my second year tuition, do I have to attach a letter from my organization stating this?
Please, what are the options for second/subsequent year POF? Please guys, I would appreciate answers to my question. Thank you in advance. |

darey360: Pls guys I tried using my Gt card to pay for my application fees but it was declined , pls wat may be the cause and the solution , thanks this is urgent pls You need to open a domiciliary account and use the card. Or if your parents or elderly people you trust have domiciliary accounts, you can use their card and pay them in Naira. (P.S. I don't trust people my age on matters like this) Don't use that of strangers or 'friends' you don't trust as they can do a charge back which could lead to a ban for you. Please, what are the options for second/subsequent year POF? It is not necessarily a requirement to provide prove of funding for second year. However, VO tend to have concerns for self sponsored applicant. You should make reference to your salary entitlement in your SOP and attach the letter from your organisation in your prove of funds. Don't make it seem as if the salary will be the sole source of your fund for the second year. Just make a reference to it without mentioning second year. 1 Like |
