I have had a total of four roommates and only one of them manage try small. The other three na ogbologbo.

One of them came to live with me cos she wasn't allocated hostel space and she told me was squatting until she could buy space from another person, I was counting down days until she left because she no dey do anything for house, doesn't contribute money or do housework and inconsiderate. If she fell sick I always tended to her, bought fruits and drugs and cooked for her till she got better but if I fell sick she will dissapear for the next one week to her other friends house and only return when I was healthy again. Always telling stories of how her dad suffered financial setback in his business and how they are now suffering in their family when they used to enjoy before. One day she let it slip in conversation that her boyfriend usually gives her sizeable allowance monthly
I was angry cos she bin dey pretend say she no get shigbai since she started living with me.

The second one was fun to hang around, but she was very dirty, she had a very bad body odor that always made me uncomfortable. She would put the pillow under her armpit to sleep at night and when she comot am the next day you cannot take the pillow near your face if not you will just start vomiting. She used tissue paper for pad instead of proper sanitary pads like always. The tissue was always breaking apart and small pieces will fall from her underwear whenever she changed in the room. That's how she will leave the blood stained tissue on the rug and go out. Her hair na another thing. Anytime she wanted to lose her attachment she will expect me to help and me I could not do it because of how dirty and stinky the hair would be by then, with thick white clumps of dirt embedded in her scalp. She go come dey vex say why I no dey help her loose her attach and I couldn't tell her why because she go pick offence.

So their was this my neighbour in Port Harcourt, the guy was living with his friend and had nothing doing. My sister helped him get a job as a driver, few months later I and my sister relocated before she travelled to the US.

This guy lost his job during Covid19 lockdown and had to go back to the village where he has nothing doing. He will always call me begging me to accommodate him for a while so he can look for something doing.

I initially didn't want him to but after a while I considered, he came here and the first few weeks he was well behaved and did most of the chores and cleaning. I also provided food and beverages for him then I gave him something doing and was paying him 30k then the maddens started.

The first 30k and he invited one street prostitute he meet 3 days ago on Facebook to my house, the girl spent 3 days here and was eating my food! Couldn't even wash the dishes, before she came here this guy told me he was expecting a visitor but I never authorised him to let her spend days here. I let that one slide.

2nd salary and he used that one to travel to the village, and came back with his girlfriend. The girl came with a huge bag so I knew this was planned between them, called this guy and asked him what exactly his doing, he pleaded with me that she needed a place to stay so he asked her to come stay for a while, but bro did you tell me she's going to stay for a while? And he said he is sorry but she needs help.

I just free the guy and didn't say anything else, then my expenses shut up like Bitcoins, I couldn't even keep something in the kitchen and it will remain there. They where taking over the entire space, even my babe couldn't even watch her favourite channel because the dude was either watching football or his girl was watching something else.

I just had to find a way to discharge the guy, told him my siblings will be visiting so he needs to find a place to stay with his girlfriend, the fool left his girls big bag here, with the intention they are coming back. I just laughed because they will beg me to Waybill this bag and I won't until after 6 months.

Had a very stingy friend way back in school, we were about 7 guys in the lodge and each time we wanna cook we had to contribute but this ma guy won't, he was always broke, we never even see his ATM as he always kept it till one of our guy saw him withdraw money, that one no talk came home and told us what happened, we planned for this fool, tried as much as possible to get his pin, put some weed in his beans one time, we went to the ATM and we saw nothing less than 25k inside. So this is Doja that's always broke right? We went to the market bought lots of foodstuffs with his money after withdrawing about 20k. He woke up many hours after not knowing what happened. Dude just came back home after a few days saying someone hacked his bank account. We just de laugh am, Doja wherever you are I hope you have changed from your stinginess.

Well, I don't know if I should call him a bad room mate. We had series of argument right from the first day. After Baba mop floor, u can't walk in the room again. I mean, am I supposed to start flying around the room because you mop the floor??

Baba is the very vigilant type with an usual Odun accents. He has this very old radio player. I always assume the radio is a generational inheritance. You dare not stop or play it. We are three in the room. Ben and I are just the coded guys that try as much to make fun out of all his action to avoid impending wahala.

Plates were not left out. As guys, we just move into d kitchen, pick a plate for a meal. But, you dare not mistakenly take any of Baba plate. It's another night of commotion. But ofcourse, it's fun.

But Baba,what pained me most was when you accused me of stealing your money, the third guy was not in school then. Interestingly,we both were searching for the money together but couldn't find it. I left for lectures and on my return, Baba has seen his cash. In the room that night he kept talking indirectly to me raising his voice that whosoever kept his money under the bed will die before the coming year. He said alot that even most of our hostel mate had to keep asking me who he is talking to. I felt really offended.

Lastly,we fought, real fight o. That day, he accused us of taking part of the beans n corn he cooked wen he came back from lecture. The third guy actually did use Baba kitchen spoon which was inside Baba pot. After use, he washed and help him put in his plate rack. Baba came back, and started, Talo je ewa Mii? who eat my beans? This isn't how I left my bean. My guy tried to explain to him that he only used his kitchen spoon but Baba flare up...more reason because he saw an agege bread that is almost fully consumed. He assumed that is the network band that consolidated his beans. Baba then said we must give him one cup of beans each. Now that's becoming infuriating. As he approached my bag, I gave him a very huge punch, Baba staggered and landed on the floor. After he regain himself, he realised he cant throw punches with me..The next thing, Baba carried me up, the next thing was like thunder strike. I landed on the pot of beans that caused the whole issue.
Oh! my back ache! I thought my spinal joint was gone. Baba pounced on me on the floor. I quickly stretched my hands to the pot of beans and hit on his head. He loosen his grip. I stood up and gave him more stonger punches.....omooo, that day I can never forget.

Meanwhile, while all this is happening, the third guy has been trying to separate us and other co student but the devil has taken over the fight. It was almost a figh to death. Eventually, we were restrained. After a week, I noticed he stopped complaining about trivial stuff. He just ignored. We all became best of friends later on till date....Baba had his introduction last year...we were all with him. Baba name is segun. Segun, if you are reading this... I love u brother. You made hostel life so interesting ��
