But it's a moral dilemma, if your loved one is kidnapped, are you ok with sacrificing their life and live with the guilt and regret, and not pay the ransom. In order to not fund the group and possibly ending future kidnappings, or will you succumb to human emotions and pay any amount to have them released and hence save your loved one's life, but at a cost.

There is no right answer, but there is an obvious logical one.
