odugbemiopeyemi:

Please Im in the middle of I don't know what to do about taxes issues.

I'm a self employed own a business registered a year and some month, I visited Lirs office at Akowonjo to file my tax TODAY . The woman attended to me asked me that I will pay for 3 years and first year is 10k, second year 15k while third year 20k.

My concerns now is that I wanted to start paying myself monthly income salary of 550k from my company account starting for this month till Oct so I will apply by NOV.

Does 3 years personal income taxes is assessment for 550k monthly income salary at the rate of 10k,15k,20k (45k) from3 years is sound good enough?

Because I don't know if the assessment they charged me to pay for 3 years i.e 10k , 15, 20k I should pay it? I guess is doesn't mean how much I earned monthly? Please please kindly advise me on this

I ask them to hold on first, so I can come and ask here from my guru and my lovely nairaland brother first before I take any action.

Does Tax clearance certificate really compulsory to apply for Tourist visa m

TCC is not compulsory for Visitor's visa application. You may only use it to boost your application that you a responsible citizen.

From your narrations above, you are talking about two different taxes; CIT and PAYE

For your CIT, according to the Finance Act, you are exempted if your annual turnover is below N25m.

However, if you will be paying yourself a net salary of N550k monthly, then your PAYE should be around N80k which you must be remitting to LIRS on a monthly basis and it's on this that they will issue you an e-TCC.

Like I said in the first line, TCC is not compulsory...

Hello house
Please has anyone gotten his visa stamped this year after an allowed appeal? My daughter's appeal was allowed feb 2021 we submitted passport to Abuja office since 7th of April n I haven't heard from them to come collect passport, I have been calling them almost every 2days, the last time I called the said decision was made 29th April, but they haven't informed us to come collect passport, I emailed TLS office Abuja they said the passport is not returned yet to their office, I thought getting visa stamped after allowed appeal doesn't take time, now am worried...

It's usually 15 working days from the day of biometrics. In some cases, it can take longer than that. I thought you tracked your application the other day via TLS app. You can as well send them a paid email or call them(UKVI) to know if a decision has been made on your application.

Good day my people. I need ur advise. My husband want to reapply alone for UK Visa after getting refusal in April as a family. He is paying himself monthly salary of #200k from his business. And does a job for a foreign company and gets monthly pay of 165 dollars. He want to use #90k as his living cost, so his disposable income will be #110k plus 165usd. He plan on spending 450k on his UK trip. My uncle will be providing him accommodation and feeding. Hope the above break down is good to go. If dere is any adjustment kindly advice so we can correct it. Thanks I will be waiting for your response.

I agree it is not compulsory but shows good character and will therefore strengthen his application.
If they told him 10k,15k and 20k then it is not his headache whether this is “good enough” as he will be issued a certificate.

Thank you for the feedback.

Ashirioluwa:

First of all the 900k budget is on the high side compared to your income. You are planning to spend more than half of your annual income on this trip. That’s a red flag.

You need to reduce your budget since you have someone that will accommodate and feed you. Let your budget cover your ticket and small cash for shopping

Hello everyone,
Pls, what document is needed from a sponsor who is in the USA?
Is it advisable for someone who got a job this month to indicate that she's employed? If yes, how will she go about answering the question of how much she earns per year putting in mind that she has not even collected her first salary or she should forget about the employment since she has someone that is fully sponsoring the trip. Pls, advise
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ClassicTA(f): 3:29pm On May 15, 2021
Thank you so much for.your feedback.

Yes she is my aunty by blood.

She has provided all the documents required including tenancy agreement, council tax, payslips.etc

Tutu82:

That 900k you might have to chip it down as that is nearly 9times your salary. That might look like you are emigrating be more realistic so let’s say £1-£650 you could say 650k.
Include a copy of your work ID and Salary account no matter the balance at least they would see every month 115 goes in and add your 1.7m statement too as well.
Your Aunty would have to support with her bank statement as she is sponsoring everything except your Ticket some bills like phone hardly stand so her tenancy/mortgage papers and council Tax are what you need.
Is she your Aunty by blood?.
Good luck.

Even if you just started work last week you are employed and you have an employment letter that states your annual remuneration to prove this plus your ID card albeit no salary paid yet .If your need to travel isn’t urgent can you give it another 6months to apply so you appear less financial dependent.
The thing about a sponsored trip is that as far as you are an adult you need to show means of your own funds too no matter how small to strengthen your application. There are exceptions for example full time house wife, and the terminally ill.
You might not be able to satisfy the officer that you have ties to Nigeria and those would return home after your visa. Also, with new radar search like human trafficking and you are female with no money you might be flagged.
Are you married or do you have a child?.
How are you related to your sponsor?.
What would you earn monthly?.

Thanks for the response. How much do you suggest his budget to be for one week trip. He will be accommodated by my uncle.
As for his leaving cost and disposable income and salary, does he need to redo that as well.

Happy Sunday my people.

My friend in the UK wants to invite the mom to the UK. At the moment, her residence permit has expired though she has paid and applied for residence permit renewal but it’s been months and the authorities have not issued the requested document. Can she still invite the mom over given the above situation?

Gurus, please respond

That would depend on if he is going to doing any shopping for the family but he will need transport and emergency cash.He can’t change his salary and disposable income as it would not tally what is in the statement.
Is it a business or personal trip?.

Unfortunately you cannot change your visa category within the uk so when the marine training is up you have to leave the country. If you were going for an undergraduate or postgraduate that’s the only route in which you can stay back.
However someone on here might know a loophole in which you can stay back not sure it will be legal though.

There is a way tax is been calculated in Nigeria and not every registered business is required to pay tax.
For example, if a company earn between 20-25million(not sure of the exact figure) yearly, you are not required to pay tax but above that you have to pay tax but the most important thing is to ensure your TIN is very active.

That 200k should work more than the 120k
He would have to state the reason for his short trip on additional information page and be sure to say he is not doing any shopping or sight seeing.I hope this helps.
