However, you would be advised to buy airtime on your new sim and your are free to buy airtime of any amount.

To buy a new phone sim in Nigeria, the new procedure is simple.

1. Make a deposit of just $1000 USD to the nearest police station in your local government.

2. Submit the ownership documents of your car and your house.

I welcome back my Airtel Sim and also bought a new one for my son, the new Sim card is #500 while the welcome back is 1k but both came without shishi on it. Bought them at Ibadan Alakia Airport junction Airtel outlet,but your NIN slip is paramount, hope it help small.
