What don't you go and wake him up from the grave to come and right the wrongs you claim he did?

You're not even ashamed tht six decades after independence, and gaining the right to lead ourselves as a sovereign nation, you're still blaming the 1914 action of a man long dead for the situation we find ourselves in.

Common restructuring your Senate President Lawan is trying to tear down in frigging 2021, over 100 years after the amalgamation of Nigeria, yet you're not ashamed to blame It all on Lugard while Southern leaders were happy to neglect their responsibility to their people.

If this thread is not an ode to the irresponsibility and cowardice of the black man, in regards to defining his own destiny and future, then I don't know what is.

Don't mind them. Our leaders in the South tolerating what is being done to us have no blame at all. Everything falls on Lugard for actions taken over a 100 years ago.

All we need now is a Babalawo to ressurect Lugard and get him to separate us since those of us alive are too cowardly and impotent to even agitate or fight to change our pathetic status quo.

We must keep blaming Lugard conveniently for the fact that our leaders in the South, and the people by extension, are pathetic cowards unable to break the chain of oppression we are complaining of as others have done resolutely worldwide.

This man did nothing wrong in my own opinion. We always find in him a convinient excuse for our collective failure at nation building..
He cobbled up a country as an invading imperialist. He didn't come to work for you! He came to work for his masters and he did a good job by setting up the country in a way that it will be profitable for his parent country.
Colonialism over, they organized constitutional conferences to allow locals decide how best to live together when they're gone. None of the constituent units insisted on going their separate ways. They all agreed to stay together based on the agreements they made. That was also the case between India and pakistan, Singapore and Malaysia etc. But those ones went apart peacefully.. If either the North or east or west wanted to go, they would have gone..

Again, few years into the "independence experimentation", things weren't going well, there was an opportunity to sit down and talk on what to do. Lugard was dead. Britain was gone, even if manipulating from outside. But our people said no. Separation was the best bet. But they all refused. It wasn't just the North. Other parts of the country with the exception of the east ofcourse. War erupted and the country was destroyed in order to build the country! Irrespective of the fact that before independence, constituent regions all came together to decide on how to live, those who felt they were now in the driver's seat, went ahead and made a mess of a promising country.

How can you blame Lugards who died many decades ago for that?

Indeed. At least our ancestor in 1914 can claim illiteracy and lack of exposure as a genuine excuse for Lugard's unilateral action back then.

What is the excuse of us alive today in the face of the current rant of our Senate President against restructuring which shows, as many Western political analysts have argued, that it is the African most at fault for the backwardness and underdevelopmenf of his own nation and people?

We gained independence over 60 years ago. If we had any shame, as a people, should the name Lugard even be on our lips considering the shameless dereliction of duty demonstrated by our grossly overpaid lawmakers we the followers continue to tolerate when we are their bosses who should tell them what to do on our behalf at the NASS?

Indeed. Lugard who died many decades ago? While we still have a Northern Senate President trying to frustrate ordinary restructuring in 2021 simply to favour his region? Some Nigerians are jokers TBH.

Lol. I knew you'd unravel as the usual deceptive and two-faced IPOBian bigot because you guys lack the neutrality or depth to stay any course at all.

All you are programmed to do is hate and find everyone else to blame but yourselves.

This is why you guys will never matter as far as political leadership is concerned. Afterall, what use is a leader who only want's to play blame game against virtually everyone else yet will never offer solutions or lead as he was voted to do.

The coupists of 1966 and Aguiyi Ironsi were the architects of Nigeria’s problem. He abolished regional system of govt and suspended the 1960 constitution all Nigerians agreed to.

Lugard is not Nigeria’s problem but the
Igbo coupist.Aguiyi Ironsi, the destroyer of Nigeria.
