But truly there are areas they call locations usually like ghetto areas. U go there and u wud surely suffer. There's a particular warning around Yanga on the N2 Expressway-"Danger Zone, Do Not Stop On The Freeway" I think that's warning enough

Hello guys.
I'm currently working on a Masters application to the University of Pretoria. I'd like to know if UP offers admission w/o the SAQA certificate. I mean, do/can they allow for submission of the certificate after an applicant has been offered a place?

I look forward to your responses. Thanks.

PS. I have already e-mailed them, but I haven't heard back from them.

No, you must have your SAQA certificate for you to be considered!

I opened a trade talking about my experience in cape town and I was going to mention the fact that we nigerians are not generally liked and anyone can get robbed anywhere and you have to have knowledge of where is safe to go and where is not. Some people derailed the thread because they had other threads talking about the beauty of South Africa posting stock pictures anyone can find with proper research on tht internet. Someone asked about their women and I spoke about how most of them within the place I stayed at had Nigerian boyfriends and that you don't need to spend time toasting and toasting like you would do in Nigeria. You just had to be fun and be entertaining and this was my honest observation. They came at me saying I am posting lies and spoiling the image of the country.
To be honest SA, Cape Town especially is a very lovely place to live in but you must follow rules,Nigeria is not good we know but like one of my friend who has been here for long said " the average south african doesn't really think before doing you harm over something really petty". A Nigerian thief may look at you and view the pros and cons of attempting to rob you,he would think about if it would be worth it or not and if he would escape without trouble. But the people here would do you dirty if they feel like. They are like people that are high on weed that don't really think about repercussions when they do stuff. Don't get me wrong the people in offices and stores are really nice but it's the everyday people you meet on the street that you need to worry about. The whites don't really have anybody's time, they don't particularly hate but they really do not care if you live or die. In terms of infrastructure and beauty I will be honest beauty alone cape town has such natural beauty that would beat most places in US and Europe. There are no jobs here but I see that most people here are undocumented so your chances would just move to zero. If you follow rules and tailor your movements you will enjoy the improved standard of living.

You have spoken well bro. Is that your thread still existing? I love to follow such thread to learn about the place I will like to visit in the future. Pls which side is safe for first timers in joburg. And what is the accommodation like.

You must have a SAQA certificate before you can offer a place. You cannot have an admission letter without a saqa certificate at UP. Only Stellenbosch and Cape Town Universities accept applications without SAQA verification.

Thank you! I already submitted an online application for SAQA, I just haven't paid and sent my application pack via e-mail. Please, do you know how long the verification really takes? I've read all varying answers online.

Thank you so much. Please, did you get to do the SAQA verification? Do you know how long the verification really takes for a Nigerian with a Nigerian qualification? I've read all varying answers online.

There is no specific period. Once you have paid the application fees and submit the application online, they will contact your school in Nigeria. The response of your school will determine how long the verification will take. In a situation where your school failed or refused to respond, the process will be delayed, but if the school reply then 2 to 4 weeks processing time

Stop saying what you don't know please.

Nwa Mgbeke. Confirm before you talk rubbish.

I'm 1 million percent sure you don't even have the app, because if you do, and use it, you would have known it stopped working since like say January

Stop going to S.A. South Africans are hostile towards Nigerians, the environment is toxic for hustling. They purposely delay and deny Nigerians visa, they revoke work permits after issuance. Forge that hustle outta this continent, I have contact at nig embassy at Joburg, his children are in US , they ain't schooling in SA. Stop going to SA for greener pastures! More xenophobic attacks are brewing!

Good afternoon fams, so i got my passport back today and it was denied, on the account of no proof between i and the host, meanwhile, he is my cousin.(my mom’s nephew)
And on the refusal letter, they said i can attach a written representation to the South Africa consulate general via vfs lagos.
Please house, what can I attach, how do i proof it. I want to retry it since it’s not an appeal process

When did you submit ,,?? You should have applied directly for a tourist visa ... your cousin should contact the consulate in southafrica to get the necessary documents which he would give you when you want to re submit
