Had an interesting fight wit rider tonight. She book a ride from surulere to ICM, got into d car and was driving it, I decide to let her have her will since its my last trip and don't have d energy for bad vibes. She got on phone casting herself, careless talk on d phone, saying all manner of rubbish, how deh went to club, the guys sprayed 2 bundles of 200 naira (in my mind how much is bundle of 200), she picked 15k out of it, blah blah... Until we got stuck in 30 sumtin minutes Maryland traffic, sister now say she want to come down, dat she's running late for her date, how much she should pay me thus far grin I just form deaf and dumb, aunt repeat herself again and I asked her, how? I'm not understanding, like you pay half and how do I get out of here? After all the take here, take dia. That was how she flipped, she will come down and leave. Me: if u leave, I'll surprise u here, e b like say u never jam madness... we got into hurt for words trading, tho! I try not to use words on her, just made her understand I can't relate with her, cos I won't try to explain myself to someone who think highly of herself and won't stoop that low. That's how my sister hit me hard, say ordinary cab man like u talking to me, ordinary 2k, I deh shout. Aunty! Pay me my money, I may later transfer it back to u, but that 2k I'm not letting u go, without paying it. So I kept mute and let her continue doing the talking. She transfer my money and next I saw, went calm, so we r from same tribe, why r we fighting nah? Me: I'm not fighting you, just trying to explain to you, but realize you can't understand. Took her to destination and she plead for me to accept extra 1k.

What really interest me the most is the illusion out dia, on a normal day I can b of help to this lady, but life is life. At some point I felt pitied for her and feel like being part of her life, I just let everything slide and call it a day.

Okay, thank you but I don’t think I have a leak in the system though, the last time I topped it up was like 2 years ago with a can of gas and I just want to vacuum the so called Nigeria gas out and filled back up with recommended gas but if that’s how it’s then done then it’s okay. I will send a mail right away.
oh, okay. Sounds good.

Carried one woman from her house. As I was about to make a left turn from her junction as advised by the map, she asked which route I wanted to take and I told her.

She said no, the route is too far I should take the right turn that she she told the person she's going to meet she'll be there in 10 minutes. The moment she said the route was too far, I knew what she was implying. I wanted to pass a longer route to increase the money so I just said no wahala.

Meanwhile the map already told me that the route she wanted me to take was 11 minutes slower. I normally would have advised her against it but I wanted her to learn her lesson.

As we got to where the traffic was, madam begin complain. I don't need all this traffic, what kind of traffic is this? And you people, when you knew there was traffic here, why did you not insist we follow the route you wanted to follow. I no even answer

Took her to the destination but not before the person she was going to meet almost blew up her phone with phone calls. I collected my money with a straight face and saw my rating drop drastically not long after. Good riddance

Pennzoil is expensive too ...... Great oil and personally I prefer it to Mobil 1 .. Have used it on my 2011 Infinity gx25..... Pennzoil and Mobil 1 will cost you nothing less than 20k naira per gallon .......this is due to exchange rate... Imports are expensive now from cars to auto parts etc .. Anything import

Since Super Tech does not have to spend much money on marketing and advertising it is more affordable and it is a great oil ........

Since I use these product on my uber fleet cars.. I will always side with the consumers .. I think like the consumers and feel that nobody should be spending more than 20k naira on engine oil ..... You can still get great quality oil without breaking the bank .......

On your free time kindly YouTube project farm .. He gives great analysis on different brand of oil ... He is an independent oil analysis ......check it out

I have actually done my research too, both oils are great.i got the pennzoil from you but at a point it dried up,so am not sure what the problem is(Kareem says the oil is bad).so I got a moble1 instead. Want to know if it's the oil or the engine

It's the right number. I reported through the Uber app and on their Twitter but they said I paid with an unsupported method (how were we riders to know that only cash or card are the officially allowed payment methods on Uber) and they can't retrieve my money.

Maybe he is the one.
Forget Twitter,if you want a refund.

Get their email add for customer support. Write them a mail and attach a screenshot of the transfer payment and the payment slip of the ride, highlighting the time frames for the transfer and payment with his names.

Do that, don't be emotional in your write up. State it exactly as it is. He will b contacted to refund you.

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 12:34pm On May 17, 2021
@ sunnydays, you need to show proof that you transferred ₦5,000 to him, the right name of the driver, cos he still claims he doesn't know you.

So it's either you posted money to the wrong guy or he is being mischievous.

I think Nobody should call the driver, dis person claiming he/she transferred money to an unknown driver bt for hw many hours can't provide proof.

I don't know why you guys are responding to him.
His first approach in this thread was very bad, and moreover, I think he got the right response from Uber, be it Twitter or app, cash and card are only supported payment but Nigerians have a way to misuse things hereby he claimed wanting to transfer N100 or N500 if I read right.

I wouldn't trust the word of any kazeem mechanic. Most of them will recommend Mobil xhp 20w50.. If your car has been using Mobil xhp for long time .. It is too late to revert to manufacture recommendation .. The damage has been done already by using thicker oil..........

The manufacture recommendation is to protect your engine from unnecessary wear and tear and combat sludge... The oil is not there to fix any problems that may have been caused by abuse or neglect.....

Personally I prefer Pennzoil to Mobil 1 EP ........

And also the Mobil you got is it Mobil xhp ?

He said he wanted to tip him extra #100, meaning he wanted to transfer #200. How it turned to #5000 is the confusion here.
Had it been that he mistakenly transferred #2000 it'll be understandable.

Though His bossy appearance here gives an vivid insight to what might have transpired between him and the driver and why the driver has refused to refund him.

He also said wrong number but truecaller says otherwise

Updated:
I withdraw my statement, its only God that knows who is fraudulent.
The guy called me back now that he wasn't the one that picked earlier, that it was his brother, that his brother just told him that some people called him when he was not around.
Why would his brother be picking his call and be telling people wrong number.. I dont know too.

So he explained that she (the rider) said she transferred 5k and he told her he didn't get it. Madam can you post evidence of the said transfer? This happened few weeks ago

Picked this one on a N500 naira trip Told me to end the trip, go offline, wait for him till he's done and take him back to the same place I picked him.

I'm just here wondering if there are drivers that actually agree to this kind of nonsense. If to say na better return trip self, shey I for understand.

And there's a way people say things that makes you wonder if they grew up under any parent.

"Go inside and park. End the trip, go offline and wait for me. You will take me back". Really?

I've had such experience before.
Took this young man one morning(8am) from surulere to unilag, on 1.4* surge. he asked me to end the trip and go offline.

Me: are you going somewhere else?
Rider: yes you'll take me home.

I was a little bit upset cos I was chasing morning bonus of 1.2k, and it was remaining only 1 trip to get it. But I decided to let go and waited for him.

I waited for about 40mins before he came back.

Rider: Oya let's go.
Me: where're we going now?
Rider: Ago Palace.

We proceeded.

While on our way.
Rider: how much was the first trip?
Me: 1.3k (actually 1.5k but he had #200 discount)
Rider: okay. Hold this 1.5k first.

We got to his destination @ago Palace Way at about 10:45am.

Rider: call your account number.
Me: 0731xxxxxx
Rider: okay, I've sent you 10k. Thanks for the ride.
Me: (surprised) Thanks a lot.
Rider: you're welcome.
