I don't use the in-app calling though. I always want to have my riders' numbers in case we get issue and need to communicate after trip

As far as u completed d trip, u will always be able to recall the number, its saved in ur App already. Why waste airtime when In-app calling is available. Although not all riders have updated their App.

I called ur number few hours ago and a lady picked up. I really don't why it dried up ....... I used the same Pennzoil on my 2011 Infinity G25x. And I will change the oil 7k miles .. I have 3k miles to go before change...

Before I use Pennzoil on my Infinity G25x I had used Mobil 1 EP 5w30. I prefer Pennzoil to Mobil 1 EP my car runs smoother and quieter compare to Mobil 1 EP ......

My guess is some cars run better on certain oil .. Some cars will short oil on certain brand and some don't .....

Carried one woman from her house. As I was about to make a left turn from her junction as advised by the map, she asked which route I wanted to take and I told her.

She said no, the route is too far I should take the right turn that she she told the person she's going to meet she'll be there in 10 minutes. The moment she said the route was too far, I knew what she was implying. I wanted to pass a longer route to increase the money so I just said no wahala.

Meanwhile the map already told me that the route she wanted me to take was 11 minutes slower. I normally would have advised her against it but I wanted her to learn her lesson.

As we got to where the traffic was, madam begin complain. I don't need all this traffic, what kind of traffic is this? And you people, when you knew there was traffic here, why did you not insist we follow the route you wanted to follow. I no even answer

Took her to the destination but not before the person she was going to meet almost blew up her phone with phone calls. I collected my money with a straight face and saw my rating drop drastically not long after. Good riddance

One just need thick skin to survive this hustle

I actually saw a driver like that today. He carried the lady to a hotel and she asked him to wait. Was waiting for his rider for about 40 mins as at the time I got there. I asked him if it was on surge. He said no. How long dem go stay there? He cant say. Some guys just mumu for dis job.

Sometimes patience is key in this job, though not all the time.
To a guy to wharehouse at Ogba from ikeja trip ended 1,300 the guy paid cash 1,500 and asked me to keep change. He was out of the car and came back to ask if I could wait for him that he wants to go to ICM and back to his hotel ikeja.
So as I was waiting a read here that there was shooting arnd ogba, Berger.
Na so I just relax.
After 20mins guy no show, na so I called him and replied with text “Wait”
For my mind, which kind wait be dis, I give u 5mins and I’m off.
He came out after 25mins.
And said thank you let’s go back to hotel.
Asked for my account number and alert of 8k enter, I had to shout like 8k and he laughed and said “ For your patience not many of you are patient “
That thing tingle in my ear.
So my point is there are times you might just need to relax and wait.
Cos from d guys hotel I got a long trip on surge and offline back and closed for the day cos I’ve made 2days target.
Probably if I had left dt guy, I would have still be hustling up and down the whole day.
But na still luck and favor ooh

I'm telling you.

He wanted to take the map recommended route, you insisted he use your own prefered route, yet you are still the one complaining when you met traffic.

Anyone with short temper should not even try e-hailing business.

Cos na kirikiri go end am.

And you have the shame to type and bring it on SM... What happened to the video cam on your phone?

Rubbixh, shame!! I hope you collected money from them for shot rest apart from the fare since your car is now a chalet for anybody to make out while you drive.

Nonsense! In the name of "I'm rendering a good service to customers, you're a fool! Yes you heard me right.

Better go for attoment after that trip else expect some misfortune afterwards.

Foolish driver.

I'll even do worse than I did the other time if anyone tries it again on my car if my partner owner likes let him retrieve his car I don't care, I did it to save my life and his property.
WORD!

I do hear this making out or sex in the car is bad,but i do think its just African fallancy.

Please what are the implications? I will really appreciate your detailed explanation.

Yes I am new, and you didn’t need to comment. This is just a way of encouraging those who may be having a rough experience in this business that success is possible. It’s also a way of appreciating my mentor for all the assistance he gave me without asking for anything in return. The first person I reached out to here told me I will need to PAY for him to show me the WAY….

@seyicodes,
don't compare d rigors of uber n korope. Your ROI is way better than that of Uber.
There is no korope /danfo/Keke in Lagos that drives All route.
Once you establish the troubled spots on your beat, you are good to go.

On Uber, you are expected to drive ALL routes , i. E you are exposed to all the Lastma, vio, touts, in Lagos. You can be living on the island n get nabbed by the extortion agents on the mainland.

A great mentor indeed!

I benefited immensely from him too, always ready to give of his scarce time to guide one. I remember waiting for his chat late at past 12 midnight when he just returned home from hustling, even though he was tired we chatted till past 1am until I asked him to get some sleep. Such a selfless individual!

May God bless him big!
