Got an unconditional offer at the University of Glasgow, September intake 2021. I didn't realize the fee was so high at first so I applied for the scholarship but wasn't shortlisted.

What's the best advice anyone can give?

I've applied to other schools with more affordable fees but yet to get a response from any and I don't know how long this will take.
Honestly UoG is a very good university in Scotland. I will suggest you work with your budget. But if you are capable, it's a choice.

Thank you for your response.
I just don't think I'm capable yet. I'll work towards it while I pray for good response from other schools. Thank you again.

Also impossible.... also because nursing has mandatory placement so where the time to work for your tuition

But can you pay up if you go with your partner and he works full time?

Sure, things will be easier when you go with your partner since a partner can work full time. Just make sure that your partner is skilled so that they can make the best of it. Let them apply for big jobs as long as they're qualified and in no time they'll be employed because here, companies employ based on your skills and not who you know like where we come from.

I have been battling between proceeding with my UK admission and taking up the Poland work permit. It has not been an easy decision.
I plan investing about the 8m I budgeted for the UK in a landed property and move to Poland on the work permit.
But I am trying to see what will I miss if I ditch UK for Poland given I have to battle for stay permit after 4yrs in UK after investing 8m in studies. But on the other hand I am doing an IT related course, MSc Data Science and could land a good opportunity after study.
Poland blue collar work pay is not much but I am not spending more than 1million for the whole process both flights. The permanent resident option in Poland is easier.
So this is my dilemma, as I am looking at the expenses I am going to make for the two countries and benefits therein.

Please any idea of a school that could give a little break say till December before paying another part of the tuition fee, that’s after paying a deposit of say 3000 or 2000 pounds and enrol?

I have lived in Portsmouth and done a short course in that university.

Portsmouth uni is a good school, going up in ranking now and has good facilities. It has free bus ride for all students, so living far from uni is not a problem because uni bus runs from 7am till 10pm or later.

Cost of living is a bit on the high side but still affordable, rents are not too expensive if you rent outside commercial road( the town center and uni areas).

There are a healthy amount of Nigerian students there and student fellowship center where you will find quite a number of Nigerians.

Portsmouth is just about an hr to 2hrs away from London with good road networks.

Boss I had to quote you on this. Please how is student hustling job in portsmouth? I have my full tuition fee and little change but am still interested in getting monthly expenses sorted out from jobs there. Are there jobs

You need more than a change to survive in Portsmouth, its not really a cheap city to live in, i was unable to get a job for a while i was there though it was recession then but you will be able to get student job.

Come with money that will last you for at least 3months while you settle down and get a job
