Ninokingz1: false a cleaner in UK is still a cleaner How much value is the cleaner adding to society. You ppl and ur poverty mentality. My guy went to UK to do masters back in the day, after doing masters the only steady job he could get was menial work. he could not survive corporate world they were firing him left and right. Spending all that money to do masters and UK corporate world is tough espeically with heavy naija accent. The guy abandon his menial work and came back to naija. He don build house now all the other foilks in the UK still dey do their menial job. Is that life? Nigeriais bad we know but remeber we all die eventually. Everybody wan go abroad hussle come back come die for naija Unless u are a footballer or in medical field UK is a waste of time and life 3 Likes |

iamdapsyj: you lack persperctive. A cleaner is a cleaner A director in a civil service if they do a good job can make change but most directors want to steal money. U nor fit steal money as cleaner. All those cleaner job inthe UK are meant for secondary school kids or poverty ppl. U will find someone with BSc/MSc doing cleaner. it makes sense if its a student job but after that e no make sense at all. 2 Likes |

Last born Things These days even in Nigeria you are at a disadvantage if you don't have a Masters degree. That is if you are seeking a career as an employee. So from that perspective travelling to do further education is OK. It could be the UK or some other place but I don't think there is much on offer for post graduate IT in Nigeria . I could be wrong This brings international exposure and contacts too. What happens after that is another matter. He can return to Ghana perhaps |

SmartyPants: The weather here is terrible! Cold! You can’t even enjoy your electronic gadgets here cos of your neighbours who are ready to call the police unlike Nigeria where you can enjoy a good music without your neighbours causing a problem Police ll profile you cos of your skin colour You might need to change your name to Richard Johnson instead of Tayo or Chika cos you might not get the job cos of your name(Racism) The Brits themselves go to Spain and other part of the world to enjoy themselves cos the weather is terrible The bills are unnecessary exorbitant with nothing to show for it. If you r in doubt, take your time to look at rich kids from Africa continent who came to UK to study, they run back either before or as soon as they r done with their studies. African middle class and wealthy families don’t stay in UK/Europe more than two weeks before they run back home for all sort of reasons. 2 Likes |

Mrnairalandd: I visited several times and stayed for months on one occasion. I took issue with the specific claim that there is no social life. Of course there is. You can play football, go to games, eat out, go see a movie, visit a bar etc. You may not appreciate these activities but don't say there is not social life. Why must you use your gadgets in a manner that would disturb your neighbors before you know that you are enjoying social life sir? I wouldn't.advise anyone to move there for work coz its not easy to assimilate, yes. But claiming there is no social life is wrong. 1 Like |

He should travel to UK first. If all the fears listed by the parents didn’t happen to him,he can stay back there and continue his life there, but when he gets there and things doesn’t go well or as planned he can then come back here to Nigeria to get a government job. |
