Why Was Jesus Referred To As The King Of Israel? by Preciousgirl(f): 4:30pm On May 19, 2021
During the earthly days of Jesus, He was referred to as The King of Israel on a Number of occasions .

Now, He wasn't the king of Israel at the time, it was Herod. Why then was He called the King of Israel? There was an inscription on His cross as the King of the Jews.

Let's dine

John 12:13-15

[13] took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!”

[14]Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:
[15]“Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your King is coming, Sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

"Israel" means the "Holy Nation" in God's sight.
When God gave Jacob that name {Genesis 32:28} He (God) was looking forward to the City to be built on righteousness {Hebrew 11:8-10} but the nation was unfaithful that's why they lost that privileged {Matthew 23:37-38} however God has a better plan for the holy ones, they will be gathered from all the four corners of the earth {Isaiah 2:2-4} and Jesus will rule over them as the Prince of Peace {Isaiah 9:6} that's what the criminal was able to grasp before begging Jesus to remember him when Jesus finally begin ruling in his kingdom and instantly Jesus made a promise to that man "Today i promise you, you will be with me in Paradise" Luke 23:39-43
So Jesus has become the King in heaven now, he has driven Satan and all demons out of heaven that's why we are experiencing lots of evil things on planet earth {Revelations 12:7-12} but soon Jesus will come down to the earth with BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS who has been taken away to heaven with him. They are coming to exterminate all enemies of righteousness so this is the time to seek righteousness, seek meekness probably salvation could be yours {Zephaniah 2:2-3} when the King of Kings and Lord of Lords return to take vengeance for the blood of the holy ones of ISRAEL! Luke 19:27 compare to Luke 11:47-51

God bless you and may you have PEACE! smiley
