I just got a medial request letter despite having sent an upfront medical report dated June 10th 2020.

Should I book another medical or what again ?

Please advice.

Meanwhile what does a BVL letter look like ?

I think it's better you do another medical. This would have definitely expired by the time a decision is made on your application.
Best of luck.

Please I need assistance with this parr of the form. I am legally married.. Which one is applicable to me.

Does selecting "married Not Physically present" affect your student visa application if you are separated?

Management and business programmes in Canada are not cheap. But you can check University Canada West in Vancouver, the University of New Brunswick in New Brunswick and McGill University in Montreal. Those are the cheapest schools I know.

Check this if it meets your budget range, or you can wait for a response from other honourable members of the thread.

All the best.

Hi everyone,

I have an LLM from the UK. However, I am considering applying for a 2nd LLM in Canada or an MBA.

Please Is there a good chance of getting a study permit ?

Thank you.

Why not Ph.D since you have the money. All you need is to get a SUpervisor and you are good to go even if you don't have funding.

Hello there,I have a bachelor degree in Animal science related to the course Aquaculture I gained admission at MUN but Advance Diploma. I was told by Maple agency receptionist after checking my admission that the degree I applied for is lower than a bachelor degree (Advance Diploma) instead of applying for a post graduate since my qualification is bachelor's degree. They aren't sure it would fly if I proceed, I explained that I earlier applied for MSc but highly competitive and no supervisor available as at when I was trying to apply over two years now, Pls can I proceed with the study permit since the Advance Diploma given is lower than my Bsc. Please what's your take, is it defendable with a strong SOP?
Do you feel it's advisable to try my luck

Bro, what if I apply for 1-year of college in cybersecurity and after 1 year I will apply fOR MSc in cybersecurity. Will visa officers give me a visa with the reason of changing my career path from marine to cybersecurity.
Anon123:

1) if you apply for a masters in Computer science, I do not beleive you will be admitted because you dont have the prerequisite courses needed to admit you into a masters program in computer science even if you have the experience but if you go for a pgd and you have the experience, you have a chance cos they consider your cv more a times but its a 50/50 situation.
Again I will humbly suggest you go for a pgd or masters related to maritime because you will need to convince a visa officer that you have a career progression and academic progression.

2) do you have evidence you were waived English proficiency? If yes, you can attach it along witj English proficiency from your school in Nigeria. Mind you, NBS is optional meaning you mustn't submit ielts if you dont want to.

I will advice you to wait and follow the smooth process of change of name once and for all since you are married
visit any newspaper vendor where advertisement for change of name is pasted or ask any vendor if they do change of name for people or not.. I did mine few years ago through a vendor, I submitted necessary documents that showed am married, paid and between few weeks (2), it came out in the newspaper,,, I still have the copies at home.
Thereafter, go to immigration office in your state for change of name on passport......
I dont know if others have views different from mine

Thanks for this

Thanks in advance

Hello, this service is fairly new to firstbank and the Information is not available at every branch. Your sponsor needs to go to customer service and convince them to contact FirstContact or Hq for directions on how to get the certificate. The service costs 1,000 naira. Here is a picture of the form, contact me if you still need the pdf of the form.

It takes 2 working days to process. After which the form would be sent to your sponsors email or phone number via WhatsApp.

Firstbank would do their best to convince you that they don’t do it. It is up to your sponsor to also do his best to convince them that they do. My sponsor spent 4hrs in the bank doing this and the certificate was released the next day. Good luck.
Hi can I get a pdf file on this? Thank you.

Do it in your maiden name, considering ur marriage is new and you dont yet have name change docs. However, let it be included in your application that you are married, i think

Lets wait for the gurus to respond

MindfulV:

If I were in your shoes, I will hinge my study purpose on the fact that diversifying the economy through agriculture is a top priority for Nigeria right now. I will go on to state that agricultural lending by commercial banks has remained really low (state the statistics, I think it is about 2%). The reason is largely due to the lack of understanding of agricultural risk by Nigerian bankers. I will then go on to show how increased lending will boost agriculture which will in turn increase the sector’s contribution to GDP, reduce unemployment and ultimately move Nigeria from a monolithic economy to a diversified economy.

Now, the question will be what your personal persuasion is. If you were working in marketing or in the agriculture desk in your bank, it would be easier to establish this. You would probably state that you have worked on some loan requests from some agribusiness customers and you gained so much satisfaction from serving this particular set of customers compared to customers from other sectors. You could also add that that there are certain agribusiness customers you have lost because you were unable to meet their loan requests due to your limited understanding of their business. To wrap it up, you could state that you are interested in pursuing a Masters in Agriculture because your background is agriculture, you work on agriculture-related transactions as a commercial banker and you are therefore interested in further building your competence in this area as it has huge potential in your country.

My two cents.
Wow.. Thank you so much for this insightful advice. I would review my options and decide.
