You are not debunking any claim. Benching a player can affect form. This is not even up for debate. Why else do they sometimes loan out young players instead of keeping them on the senior team bench?

You learn and improve more from real game time than just training sessions. And this is most important at CB where it is all about partnerships.

If a CB pairing are not on the same page a simple thing like keeping an offside trap will look like WAEC.

Players will make mistakes here and there, yes that's true, not to be playing like an amateur, doc.

Before the start of the season, I made a post here highlighting that Ole doesn't trust his bench, the post was based on the back of what happened last season especially that UEL semi final defeat to Sevilla and we are ending this season with the same complaints...Is it that the bench is really bad or the first team members are really good?

In some cases, the first team players have been really good (Shaw and Fernandes) and in other cases, it just points to the fact that Ole doesn't trust those on the bench. I dare say that Maguire has been overused, even in games where we didn't need to play him, Ole still played him and now, he is out injured at a crucial point of the season, who's to be blamed? Ole of course...
