Same thing happened to me yesterday. Ask the rider what he/she saw and collect. If the actual fare is more, you will be compensated.

Bolt has started messing with prices again.

Drivers, always remember to check the estimate of a trip before you move. Once I get a request, I fire up my rider app and put the customers destination to have an idea of the price. This is before I even leave my location.

Anything less at the destination, I'm requesting a price review.

Are there drivers that actually accept these trips?

Some will say they are going towards that direction but they are only encouraging the riders to put even more ridiculous prices.

I was once at a mall and set destination towards my place one evening. You know what bolt sometimes does, you'll set destination and they'll still be giving you stupid trips. I just allowed it ring out.

One woman beside me who heard it ring now came to ask if it was bolt. I said yes, she asked if I've gotten ja request and I told her I let it ring out because I'm looking for a better trip towards my house. She now said she was going along the same route and that how much will I take to drop her.

Told her N2500 and the woman was like, shey I said I'm going home already and with or without her trip, I will still have go go home. Madam, that one no concern you o. Its N2500 or nothing.

She left me there and I continued hunting. Ended up getting a N3300 from bolt.

That I'm already on my way home does not mean I'll take a useless trip. I will rather blow empty back to the house.

I suffered same fate yesterday, but no wahala. Set and done to go home yesterday from VI, so I check my map Ard 5pm and saw 1.20 mins to berger going thro 3rd mainland. So I said to myself, no yaba or surulere trip today, anything outside this route I'm not going. Gbam! I got a trip going to akinpelumi inward ikosi. Got to pick up, rider came out with one girl. Oga! U will take Ikorodu road, she need to drop at barracks. I look back, u deh whine me ni? Sorry, I can't do that... wit attitude I say this, girls r stupid, b4 jack, she started ranting what do u mean, blabbing and guy man knows what I'm hitting at, so he was just findin a way to make me accept his offer by saying he will add 500 to d 3k, while d stupid girl kept saying why? For what? I just ignored her. Told d guy, I can't unless he is adding 1500 to the trip, from VI to surulere is 1.10 mins and I'll now face d undefined Ikorodu to ojota traffic, my back is hurting me already. Nigga add another 500 hundred, told him I'm not going to anywhere less than what I told him. They end up alighting while looking at me like, this one mad ooo. Nonsense indriver deduct 300 to refund in a month for such situation, but it's all good, if drivers can stand their ground, riders will act right.

The woman, one of the passengers in the bus that he gave his phone to, was the one who gave the story though, what vex me is how can driver and conductors whisked away a passenger and u guys don't have the bus number or identify the bus. He has multiple stab on his face.
The woman in question has been refusing to come with further evidence with the fone as she claimed. I won't blame her though. Just that those informations with evidence is needed now

Guys be observant, Rider App can now end trip on Bolt. They will end it and be forming they don't know what happened. As soon as the trip ends, drop the rider. Make them request again.

Honestly, I was confused yesterday night, I carried a lady from Adeniyi Jones to Igbosere, Lagos Island N3,500. Immediately, I got another trip back to Allen junction trip ended N2,500, I shock. I followed exact same route. Same distance, same time but price was significantly different.
I also notice sometimes, the area will be on surge but when request enters the surge will not show on the trip.

I came back to Bolt cos their App became stable, if their werey start again, am switching back to Uber

I realised this one long ago grin

The true state of surge can only be seen on the rider app. Forget what bolt shows you on your screen. Launch your rider app to confirm. I have seen surge(usually light ones) numerous times on my driver app and when I check the rider app to confirm, nothing.

Bro I dey fear for graduate and drivers trying to settle or just joined d hustle. Especially d ones without their own cars. I can’t imagine how they survival. Things have changed so much that one olodo menial worker never imagined that someone in Nigeria can buy a 2007 car in 2011.

I will not use your style again. I have completed hours online on Thursday looking for 3short trips to complete ride and go home.

Even if you bought your 2007 camry in 2095, it's your money and your sweat. Anybody who thinks the car is old should buy another for you

Women grin

Picked this one, would be risky parking at her destination so I ended the trip before we got there since she wanted to transfer.

I already knew the estimate was 1400 having checked my rider app before we left. Unfortunately, because I didn't get to the actual destination, it was N1300. This woman sent me the N1300 with a straight face despite the fact that I still took her to the destination and it would have been N1400. I know most guys would have paid the actual fare.

But I guess losing N100 naira is better than begging Lastma with 20k

Army should carry the woman and other passenger let them show her something unless the woman is related to the driver or conductor. They should have intel . A whole Nigerian army or is it air force
