How exactly you guys want players who hardly play to look great after several games on the bench is beyond me...If you have ever played football, you'd know that training and friendly games is quite different from competitive soccer where the challenge is different...

Tuanzebe put up the best defensive performance of any Manchester United defender against Mbappe and Neymar and after that, what next, he returned to the bench. How do you gain momentum when the coach doesn't play you often? Lindelof will have a bad game yet Ole will still pick Jim for the next one.

If Ole allows for fair competition I'm quite sure Bailly and even Tuanzebe will push Lindelof to the limits for a place in the team...
Expectations from defenders are different when playing with the ball and without the ball

What are you saying? I’d like to know your perspective about this issue. Especially pertaining to Tuanzebe.

Then there’s Bailly’s own and VDB’s.

That automatically makes Mikel Obi a world class player?

And he is neither a poor player either .

You're funny. Let's assume we don't have Bailey now that Maguire is injured, who would feature for us?

That post was for those claiming Bailly has only being fit for a season, and he is not as good as Maguire or Linderlof....

In your bid to contribute, you dropped these bombshell:

Winning trophies is not progress

Big clubs don't celebrate Cup wins

We are not yet ready to win trophies, what if we win trophies and play rubbish next season

and many more.......

Where I have contributed in life, you can't be employed as the gatekeeper

Tuan may have put up a solid performance against PSG but we were defensive for major parts of the game. He didn't have to start attack or play a high line with plenty spaces for opposition attackers to run into. For him to really succeed here, he needs to be able to adapt to these circumstances and I'm not sure I have seen enough of that yet. We want to be dominating games, playing high lines and have our fb roam forwards a lot. Can Tuan deal with that responsibility of finding himself alone with a lot of spaces?

Bailly has been erratic, but so has Lindelof been. Those two much more than Maguire. If Bailly needs enough games in the side to cut out those errors, he is not ready to play for a top side. You get your game and own it, nobody will give you that time to get your groove back. Lindelof may get bullied off the ball once in a while, but overall he hasn't been bad. We were doing okay with him and Maguire before Maguire got injured.

For VDB, I'm almost very sure he has no future under Ole. Their game style does not match each other at all. VDB wants to play a patient game, with lots of passes and movements. We currently lack good movements in this team, except once in a while it works out. Most of the time, they just want to play a fast and rushed game. For me, this is down to the coach, but then again every coach have their style and they don't need to change it for one player. They can just replace that player.

As the days passes, I feel less confident about our chances of getting a silverware this season. It's been three years and what we can come up with is simple style

The Euros and Copa America is fast approaching, we should do business now before the value of potential signings soars after a good tournament...

I just hope he is given a fair chance by Ole...W8th Dalot coming back, those 3 should be made to fight for that RB slot...

If Laird is as good and assured on the ball as the video depicts then I don't mind if Dalot is sold or offered in part exchange for Sancho...

We have been watching him for years. He is good and assured on the ball and has good acceleration. He has 2 enemies, defensive consistency and injuries.
Both are tied because he suffered a series of injuries between 16 and 18 which meant he was unable to get the regular minutes needed to iron out his mistakes. Luckily he has been relatively injury free this season so hopefully he can kick on from that. Maybe Championship loan next season or a mid-table EPL loan cos his current loan is in League One. He is still only 19 so there is still time, he just needs to stay fit.

Isn't this still an excuse?
Defensively Liverpool are the 4th best in the league.

Abi Salah, mane and firmino had injuries too?.

Truth is, Klopp and Guardiola are both sore losers. They give terrible excuses they don't win.

This is just like saying we didn't win because City has more squad depth.

Liverpool rely a lot on Arnold and Robertson to stretch the opponent and create chances. The absence of their first choice CB options and Hendo has seen their full back attack less and when they do, they get terribly exposed when countered because their CBs drafted in were vastly inferior to those they covered for...

I don't want us to go into next with Wan-Bissaka as the only option at RB...Dalot or Laird should stay or we sign another RB which isn't a good option.
