Liverpool rely a lot on Arnold and Robertson to stretch the opponent and create chances. The absence of their first choice CB options and Hendo has seen their full back attack less and when they do, they get terribly exposed when countered because their CBs drafted in were vastly inferior to those they covered for...

You might have a point.

But coming from a coach such as Klopp. It's nothing but excuses.

The problem is, why should it be excused away or called champ talk because it's not coming from OGS.

Klopp even said he's greatest achievement would be to qualify for top four. If OGS should say this, area go scatter.

I don't want us to go into next with Wan-Bissaka as the only option at RB...Dalot or Laird should stay or we sign another RB which isn't a good option.

I am hearing they will make the decision at training camp. The likelihood is he goes on another loan and we sign Trippier or another stopgap.

Of course, ignore others and quote the one that suits the narrative.
Funny you'd call facts "narratives"

The Ole talking about a bad start fluffed his lines when he was on top of the table and everyone else looked out of sorts.

It's not like Man City didn't have their own bad start as well, getting thrashed at home by Leicester City and losing their best player by January, only to go on a crazy winning streak, while we celebrated not losing at places like Leeds and West Brom for an "unbeaten" record.

But here they are,so far infont of us, as league champions, while our own is patting himself in the back for finishing second. The foolish clown is the one you should tackle about "narrative", given how he has avoided mentioning how he lost 6 home games in a season and failing to beat some of the worst sides that football has ever seen.

But hey,we're all selecting what we want for "narratives",isn't it?

Bro trust me the Liverpool faithful aren't taking Klopp's comments lightly.
He hasn't explained his team's abject title defence to the fanbase who've been expecting more than champions league qualification after winning the league.

Jurgen Klopp says Manchester City would not have won the Premier League this season if they had to deal with his side's injury crisis.

That's how a Champ talks, not giving Excuses the Team is progressing, it's a rebuilding Process and so much ish.
Smh. So refusing to give an excuse is now seen as an excuse where as giving an excuse because of injuries is the way of champions.

Ole has clearly said this 2nd place finish ain't good enough, the aim is to win the league next season. What do you want the man to say again?

Clearly the man can't do or say anything right as far as you guys are concerned.

Losing Van Dijk, Gomez and Matip is beyond any coach. He even tried Fabinho and Hendo and at some point, they got injured...If the injuries was spread across the team then he'd have no excuse but no, it's was the CB position...

Another area they struggled is in attack, Salah might have score over 20 goals but he hasn't exactly been at his best in matches. Mane was pants, I hope he isn't done yet. Firmino only recently picked up...Their only attacker who looked dangerous whenever he plays is Jota but injury sef tie that one. If it was in Africa, they'd say it's spiritual...lol...

Defense wasn't Liverpool's PROBLEM this season rather the attack, players lost form, yes, but as you always say who gets the blame at the end of the day?.

Trippier will be a massive signing for us. Against teams that sit back, he can start while AWB plays when we intend to be conservative in our approach...

If you read and understood my first response to you, you'd have seen where I explained how the injury to their CBs affected them defensively and in attack...

I get your point, but just take a little of your time, check Liverpool's stats like chances created per games, clear cut chance, shots etc( since I can't say you should watch their games).
The full back issue is not as bad as you think, Arnold lost form earlier this season, but Robertson didn't, they were not limited attack-wise as you think.
As I said it wasn't the defense really but misfiring attack.

You get?

I have watched many full matches of Laird from the youth team and a number of his senior matches.

If it is skill he is AWB’s oga, but playing RB takes more than just attacking skill. AWB is a 1v1 defensive beast and so will always get a chance in the set up of a manager like Amaka.

Back then when I dropped it like it’s hot about Greenwood that he was a better finisher than our senior strikers some people here wanted to lynch me.

Laird is better going forward than AWB. You can take it to the bank. Defensively though he still has a lot to learn, and he also has to stay fit.

He should allow others say it not be saying it by himself. Coming from him it is an excuse. I know people here won’t have forgiven Amaka if we lost 3 CBs but signed another one in Jan and ended up crashing out of top 4.

No sir.
It's the narratives part that got to me.

When he was talking about being unbeaten away, why didn't he mention his 6 losses at home, including one to bottom Sheffield United?

You accuse people of selecting what we want fir narratives, but your manCrush is doing the exact same thing and is selling people the idea that the club is moving forward when in actual sense the jury is largely out on the club.

Ole has nothing to say to me that will interest me till he gets us playing like a serious title contender.
