It's actually 20 episodes, there was a period where Korean broadcasters started dividing an hour long episode into 30 minutes, so 20 episodes became 40 and 16 episodes became 32 etc. It's all still the same, episode 1-2 was usually just episode 1. I'm glad that Era is over but tbh I still think suspicious partner was too long for 20 episodes, hell the story could have been done in 12 or 16 episodes, in my opinion they dragged the drama abeg

Good story line and excellent acting from all.

SJK was splendid.
But, I can't call this mafia drama. There are key elements in mafia drama that's missing. Also, I didn't see that burning passion that depicts all mafia drama. It started like mafia and progressed like normal kdrama.
They shouldn't have added romance or they should have researched on how mafia guys love their women. I think maybe, because of Korean culture, they didn't explore that angle cos of backlash but these people should just grow up and from what I saw, SJK was equal to the task. Another person that surprised me was Taec. Guy has improved so much and is aging well too. I really enjoyed him very well. Big bear
