As funny as it sounds, this actually seems like the best explanation for Buhari's absence at his COAS burial.
If he was there, he would have necessarily had to address the people directly rather than reading from paper.. clearly, Buhari cannot do this without committing some ridiculous and embarrassing blunders.
I used to doubt this, but Buhari has now finally cleared my doubt. I just can't think of any other reason for Buhari's absence.
