Help me,my EOD 04, can't go pass gear 3 and climb hills with difficulty.

What can be the issue and what can I do please?

Three options

1 ..give it to a gear specialist to service it
2, replace the gear
3. Sell it the way it is

The last option will make it go cheap...but that is the area I am interested in...cos if I buy cheaper I can now repair and sell cheaper so that all the internet rats here will give me some peace of mind .

I have been unable to locate a gear specialist in Ibadan....do you have any recommendation?

I only know about Lagos ...there was an incident that happened in ibadan that made me believe na only inexperience mechanics full their ...bring your car to Lagos and Fix it ...but if you are tired of it I can come to ibadan to buy it from you if is first body and engine and a.c. working perfectly ...above all if is reasonable ....

First thing drain and refill with the recommended honda dw 1 u will notice a great improvement in gear shifting and performance.never use anyhow roadside fluid for ur tranny,only dw1 call ikenna at ladipo on 07031662339 and request for dw1 4/5 litres.mind u dw1 is strictly for honda trannies. That is why i say some of you need to go back to school ...profit maximisation is one if the objective of business . Why are you blaming me when I am not getting them at cheaper rate? Have I ever pointed gun on anyone to buy my cars ....in life we have options why not activate that. Must you come on my thread to express yiur frustration? I think Atf means automatic transmission fluid ...is important you know the exact type for your car. Must times when you bring out the gauge ....the long stick like metal used in ascertain if oil is in the gear ....the exact type is written their...

Op did not use Honda DW1 ATF.. Quickly try use it, u May be lucky your gear box is not already damaged and please use qualified mechanics if not your car wahala will send u back to your village

I recently bought a car from a Nairalander in ibadan ...he advertised it as having bad gear ...we managed to drive it down to Lagos . In ibadan the mechanic confirmed to him tbat he need to replace gear ...when I took it to my mechanic ...he just told me nothing is wrong with gear ...he charged my 35k for brain box. ..when the brain box was replaced ...the gear issue was resolved ...you are Very correct ....is important he gets a good mechanic to look at it.

I had a similar issue when during routine maintenance my mechanic topped my tranny with abro atf without my knowledge nor consent,a week down the line my car coundn't climb a tiny hill despite the fact i depressed the gas pedal fully . it was a nightmare, i had to revert to my car manual and looked at the required fluid.i went on jiji and bought 5 quarts.drain the old fluid and refill the new fluid.and my tranny came back to normal.

Check Youtube on how to go about with the process for Honda Accords.
After, ensure to test drive for some days (like 1wk) then come back here.
