Absolute nonsense! For a couple of years the south have complained bitterly about the menace of cattle and it herdsmen, and all we hear is silence, or insults or more provocation. I deduce that the north have this false sense of lordship and ownership of Nigeria. How? And when did they arrogate such power to themselves? Open grazing is banned in the South, full stop! No more discussion about this!

There's actually a book on political philosophy and conquest handed down from generation to generation fulanis, concretise after 1804 jihad, it proclaimed the fulanis owned all land from the sahelian north up till Atlantic Ocean. Their history revel how their forefathers have journeyed through all this part for centuries, given names to some places even though they never domesticate their selves. Buhari, malami, zamfara governor, Bala Mohamed, garba shehu all operate on the basis of this template. They believe we the indigenous people are very ignorant of the world we live in.

Farming is the most popular business in my dad and mum state, Osun and Ekiti why some businesses like grazing has been disturbing their private business they’re paying for. What a senseless governors we had in Nigeria. Morocco, Libya, Kenya, South Africa and Tunisia have neglected open grazing for donkey years but why are we so backward and not ready to be exposed? What a greedy and self centered governors we had in this NAIJIRIYA? Who even dash am elite?

it still beat my imagination, for a man not be able to caution his own people when they are going wrong, if you caution ur own people most especially when you are in power, it will definitely bring peace for whoever in power to focus on meaningful thing rather than conflict and crisis during his reign.

one thing common to us in Nigeria, whenever one is in power ,( federal, State, local, even religion or MDA) his people will want to overdo things at detriment of others, our own time slogan.

if such incumbent does not caution his people to send signals for everybody, such person hardly successful during his reign.

You have never warned your colleagues about corruption, stealing and how they impoverish the people. But here you are warning them about the banning of fulani herders that move around the forest illegally on people's farm lands, terrorizing and killing the people.
This must stop, enough is enough.

Everything now is about cow! cow!! cow!!! We can’t move forward or talk about tangible things

This is an example of a failed cursed shithole country. Other countries are talking about better things, we are talking cow matters

We have been discussing about cow cow, do our love depend on this cow issue ? Why should Fulani herdsmen matter hold Nigeria for balls/blokus like this.

Make una enjoy una one Nigeria oo

This Bala Mohammed never has anything constructive to say and never speaks like a true leader seeking solutions for all.

He can never shed his toga of prejudice, bias and partisan servitude .

Same chap defended the rights of illiterate Fulanis to carry AK47 when this is against the firearms laws of Nigeria so this latest talk from him is not surprising.

Albeit, even that their fore father couldn't conquer all the south in those dark days. Is it in this 21st century, this age of enlightenment that they will accomplish it? Al Qaeda and ISIS tried and failed woefully because the world cannot go backwards to 5AD. They all scheme alot, I agree, but only because we've allowed them for so long. They knock our heads together in the South, and then take advantage of it. We should be wise as the fox too!

Ban open grazing like we all wanted but do not allow Igbo hate sow any seed of discord btw Nigerians. This can be achieved if well managed.
How does someone spew so much trash so early. Damn nitwit.

You are mad. You and Buhari.

They have found their voice but will keep quiet when farmers are crying of destruction of farms, rape and death

It won't be well with the supporters of this evil government

Those that seek pleasure in evil and destruction of others won't know peace

If you guys can't develop Nigeria. Why not let everyone be in peace
Is southerners that play politics with everything, for a typical muslim Hausa-fulani man, his religion and tribe comes first before any political affiliation

Did he say anything about herders destroying people's farms, raping and maiming? No he won't mention those. The ones that concern him are his preoccupation. Sel fish Fulani.

The one and only part to freedom is by war. I am always amused by the fulanis mindset.... They believe they got all they wanted in Nigeria by war and conquest, so they can only let go if they are defeated in a war. Can you imagine set of people who see their compatriots that call for restructuring or regionalism as a call for war? It's a funny mindset honestly!

We endorse ranching.
We do so because such a decision will lessen tensions between farmers and herders while also helping the long-term economic viability of both the farming and herding communities.
We are mindful of the short-term dislocation this might cause but are also mindful that this position is in the best interests of all parties concerned.

We, therefore, recommend that the federal and state governments cooperate fully with each other to enact the necessary measures to encourage this more effective and modern method of cattle-rearing so that both farmers and herders can pursue their livelihoods with greater productivity and in a more cooperative relationship that minimizes the friction between these two important pillars of our agricultural economy.

We condemned the use of violence to achieve political power/advantage.

We restate our abhorrence of violence as a means to achieve either political or economic power and influence.
We strongly condemn violence of any form in any part of the country, regardless of ethnic or regional identity of the perpetrators of the violence or of the victims. Government must do all it can to protect potential victims and to assist those who have previously been victimized by terrorism or widespread banditry.

this clearly shows that the north and south will can never work together to achieve a common purpose.
All southern leaders should come together and discuss the way forward if they really want to remain as one Nigeria. north and south have different ideologies and ideas when it comes to issues affecting this country.
the north will always greet policies and ideas from the south with backlash. how long shall we continue like this?

Sadly but the truth.
North always want to be pampered but don't want same privilege given to the south.

Indirectly, they are the FIRST CLASS CITIZENS, while people from South and Benue are SECOND CLASS CITIZENS.

It is Time the southern Governors speak out with much intent n unity.

The country is in a mess, because everything is being tilted to benefit the North, yet they are ungrateful.

I agree that a fight for freedom, in most cases, does not exclude war. It is obvious that the mind war has been going on covertly for long time now that's why the 1999 constitution (Engineered by Army) remained bogus and skewed.

However, with the kind of president we have now, what used to be a smooth operation has become an open assault to the fabric of Nigerian existence, damning any consequences and cared less anyone whose ox were gored. But I felt they'll meet their Waterloo this time. The south should not keep quiet in the face of open assault on their rights.
