After studying Islamic studies they will be able to treat sick people, become Engrs, Lawyers, Teachers, Bankers, administrators, analyst.
With these Yobe will be more developed than Dubai and Paris combine.

I hope the governor's children are among those sent to Egypt to study the Quran

Yobe state is at the pinnacle of impoverished states in Nigeria. It doesn't help that it is neck-deep in battle with insurgency and the likes.
The Governor who's obviously bereft of germane home grown ideas didn't send those students to study courses that would benefit the war-ravaged state, instead, he's sending those chaps as sheeps among wolves; to be further indoctrinated.
