Thanks for your contribution. Should we remove it or start another building plan? He said he’ll correct anything I want him to correct but I should not blame him in future if anything goes wrong.
Beframia:

Just wondering what purpose the space behind the arrowed wall will serve. Take another look at that.
The design is entirely faulty.
The client also contributed to it, he said he needs the space to be managed so as to build in future too.
And there are specific shapes certain structures must take to make it functional.
We have the following category of spaces in residential building
1. Public
2. Semi private.
3. Private
If the designer had designed using the above approach, the building would have taken a specific shape and the spaces would av been very functional.
Now we have almost four lobbies in 3 bedroom bungalow.

Please I'm thinking of making my building 4 coaches after lintel level before doing the decking.

Please engineers what is the implications of this. I will like my building to have high height for the downstairs
No structural implications to the best of my knowledge.
It only costs more.
The living room of this building has a total height of 3.6 before the slab.

Some individuals actually love big volumes, once you enter into a space with big volumes it gives a calming effect. However the implication you will have with it is in your staircase, if you do not have a stair hall that can accommodate the required number of risers(150mm), you may end up having higher risers like 175mm which isn't good at all.
So check your stair hall before you decide on adding more volume.

Make the lobby between the kitchen and bedroom3 the store and create a door connecting kitchen and dinning. Extend the masters bedroom to the wall of the lounge. Hope this helps.

My own little advice...
Both the ante room and and family sitting room won't have a proper settings, especially TV console settings. I think you should look into how your want the living room settings to look like and plan accordingly.

You've raised a good Point...

It all depends on the stair hall space he can get creative to introduce landings to accommodate the 150mm or adjust to 100mm for risers.

CBN confirms N410.25/$ as new official exchange rate
https://punchng.com/cbn-confirms-n410-25-as-new-official-exchange-rate/

The serial devaluation of the naira by the Central Bank of Nigeria is a major limiting factor to the Federal Government Mass Housing Scheme and a stumbling block to the aspirations of millions of Nigerians to own their homes and live in decent accommodation. Now that the CBN has finally devalued (yet again) the Naira to N410/$, brace yourselves to further hikes in the prices of building materials. The CBN Governor (Godwin Emefiele) is the weakest link in this administration. He is out of his depth.

One last one - have a look at the proposed building 3D if you are comfortable with the scale asymmetry between the larger ground floor and the first floor. To your eyes and yours alone, if it's not aesthetically disturbing, go for it.

Your lounges are looking really small. Perhaps you can introduce cantilevers at the terrace to open up some space.

Hummm, thanks for at list let the gentleman no some of the technicalities. My humble opinion to this question direct it to your structural engineer, he’s the ones that calculate the weights and recommend the beam that can carry the weight he should be in the best position to answer this question. You can as well Shared the structural drawing with our in house Engineers here for their professional advise

Good stuff & well done, your choice.

I'm weird in that I actually like some assymetry (but ground floor must be taller, not the other way round) - especially if like in some beautiful buildings near me, the ground floor is exposed bricked/brick veneer and the first floor painted ,say, white.

Good luck!
