Since when is land size an achievement? Switzerland is just the size of Abia and Enugu combined and has a population of less than 10 million. But Switzerland has a bigger GDP than Nigeria
plus landlocked too

Niger state is bigger than what they call biafra.

South Sudan still depends on Sudan to export its products. biafra would still depend on Nigeria on many things if allowed to go.

*It's tiny

Better to be landlocked and be in control of your land than to have all access to the Sea but be a slave

Who is buying coal today? Coal is seen as environmentally dirty.

Natural gas? See, the thing about natural gas is that it is worth nothing until you've spent countless billions of dollars on infrastructure that will not just extract the gas at low costs, but facilitate its transportation to buyers at low cost, enough to make your gas competitive on the international market.

For example right now, Nigeria is collaborating with Morocco to build a massive gas pipeline that will connect Nigerian gas all the way through West African states to Morocco, into Spain and Europe. This will make Nigerian gas cheaper to buy and thus, more competitive.

Where will a landlocked Biafra start?

Where will you find money to build such infrastructure? From selling palm oil or what?

As for your 'limestone, iron ore'' etc, those things attract peanuts on the international market. Every country in Africa has minerals like iron ore, limestone etc. It is a buyer's market. Oil and gas is where it is AT.

If you secede from Nigeria (without the Delta of course, since Nigeria will never allow you seize it), no more monthly allocation from Abuja to build all those lovely flyovers and roads in Enugu, Ebonyi, Owerri etc.

You will just become like Burkina Faso. Una name resemble self

Too ignorant. The gas turbine powering the electricity grid in the country and north where is it from? Biafra would be landlocked bla bla, landlocked how? The imo river connects to atalantic ocean(International waters) the river niger in onitsha nko can most likely be dredged to form a sea port . Do you know that imo has the largest gas reserves in Nigeria running into trillions in cubic feet. Igbo will not need to take gas to the west, the rest of Nigeria will buy gas from igbo to have electricity. Palm oil is what transformed Malaysia, iron ore is in abundance in Biafra. Mind you there are many more mineral reserves and oil reserves in the east yet to be explored. Dontnkid urself all parts of Nigeria will succeed once they out of the contraption. Its only in the North that I forsee a civil war because the native hausa and middle belt will fight to get their territories back.

Just like YOU Igbos stole it during the 16 years of PDP looting.

When you were looting you did not want to break up the country.

Jibiti people.
First of all, I am not an Igbo man.
The Igbos didn't steal anything during PDP regime, they have never been given any real power in Nigeria, the Hausas/Fulanis has always been the ones ruling and looting Niger Delta Oil.

YOU KNOW THAT WHAT I WROTE UP THERE IS THE TRUTH BUT YOU WON'T ADMIT IT BECAUSE TRIBALISM AND DISCRIMINATION IS IN YOUR NATURE.

The essence of this your thread has been defeated and laid to rest, however be happy as you enjoyed the earlier bantering from uneducated and ignorant fellows.

I find it hilarious and hypocritical that you could tell someone it's not their business on what happens to your region if the country breaks up, but you opened a whole thread to discuss hate filled lies about the other region, like wtf Man! Are you kidding me?

Igboland unfortunately for you spreads beyond the 5 eastern created states. The lands from Imo carved into Rivers alone is mind boggling and these are the places with the highest reserve of crude oil. You really think an Etche man will prefer to align with Ogonis and Ijaw instead of his kins at Ngor Okpala with whom he speaks the same dialect, village name (umuoye etche, umuoye Ngor Okpala, ulakwo etche, ulakwo.... Etc) market etc? Just because he's called South South lolz.

My brother go and read your books, use Google more often, there is absolutely nothing landlocked about the Igboland, it's painful I know but you just have to accept it.

The chunk of oil in Rivers state is owned by the Igboid groups, choke on these!
I don't know about the Delta Igboid groups if they have crude too, I guess I'll read up on that. You should do the same too so you don't always spread false info.

My brother, leave the idiots alone. Ignorance is their greatest problem. What their leaders saw and are afraid of break up is what they are promoting.
He is talking about Nigeria building a gas pipe to Morocco, he thought its a child's play project.
Land lock should be our headache and not theirs. They should just allow Biafra to go and stop taking panadol for what should be our own headache

So what's your point again ?
Switzerland does not have as much people as Igbo
Switzerland has a booming tourism sector

The fool is even glad Nigeria is building a gas pipe to Spain to supply them heat and electricity meanwhile their country and the rest of western Africa is in darkness. People are just so stupid that they unknowingly support neo-colonialism. Russia controls gas supply in Europe thats why no matter the sanction, they must buy gas from Russia. This is the reason why Nigeria must break the colonialist are still exploiting our resources using dummy rulers (NEO-COLONIALISM)

I don't know who thought u economics but they did a really poor job
Let me teach u one or two

Firstly if igbos leave and Nigeria decides to send all igbos back to igboland ....that's assuming the unlikely case that the rest remain in Nigeria .....igbo land would be the only region whose GDP would grow by at least 40% ... housing industry would boom for like 10 years , fashion , food and agro industry

There would be a bad collapse of the housing industry in Lagos , abuja , pH ( assuming ikwerre refuse to follow igbos ) and many other places and most igbos would sale there houses or put them off for sale this would drop the price of houses , Puting the banking sectors into crisis , loss of jobs would follow
And the rest of Nigeria economy would enter deep recession as people would panic

There would be acute shortage of teachers , nurse , pharmist , doctors in northern Nigeria particularly the core north

4 large productive / skilled population is always an advantage in growing ba country

Igbos would seek strategic business opportunities with other African countries , supplying them our huge cheap products

Military industry would receive most attention as we would know most people want us to fail ...igbos outside would provide the needed foreign exchange

No worry Sha

What is the size of Isreal?

Belgium has an economy that is 6x the size of the whole sub Sahara Africa. What is the size of Belgium?

Is development by size?
Some of these western countries you guys are running to have a landmass of just a single state in the north.

Is it by size, or by sense?
I am not Igbo, but I fully agree with your post. Too many Nigerians simply lack strategic thinking ability. There are tiny countries in Europe that are quite wealthy. Szie is not a an essential pre-req for development. A highly educated and industrious people can build a rich and wealthy country.

Don't mind the Otellectual. The whole of Bonny was ceded out of imo state simply because it was known as bight of biafra. Those igboid groups like u said will come back to biafra because they are not natives of niger-delta or Rivers state. The natives whom are ijaw, calabari, andoni, okirika will not allow ikwerre rule or control them. Theres already a growing hate for ikwerres in Rivers because they have been in power for 16 years and they know the ikwerres are igbo not natives of Rivers state. The natives of rivers are riverine not upland.

This is pure delusional reasoning

1.the population density would be the highest in the world and with the way an average Igbo gives birth
You'll need more land in less than 10 years
That's why the Japanese tried to overtake China
That's why Malaysia has expanded its land by 25% by sandfilling their coast(which you can't)
That's why south Korea need unification with the north badly
Can you see how almost all buildings in Singapore are more than 30 stories?

2 the Nigerian GDP won't reduce
Instead it is likely to increase because the importation would reduce

Conclusion
Start trying to convince the SS or try to make Nigeria a better place through true federalism
