madamg:It is naa, considering there are still some applicants from last year awaiting decision. I don't what it is, but it would take something special for a Nigerian applicant to get a medical request within a month. NB: Go and do upfront medicals to avoid another delay in the process. |

And also what does a bank draft means? how many months should one get? Thanks. |

Pls helpers in the house kindly attend to this question as it slowing the submission of my application. I received a fully funded scholarship in Canada and I have a peculiar case that need your guide. I have an infant to leave behind as one of my home/family ties, I and my husband agreed to keep the baby with my immediate elder sister for my maximum concentration. Please can this raise a concern to the visa officer? |

Hello, Is background check supposed to start immediately after submitting the application? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by AyaE: 3:05am On May 27, 2021 |
Has yours started? childgodly: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by olasubomy: 3:12am On May 27, 2021 |
childgodly: Yes, background check starts immediately after you submit your application; that is why the first request from IRCC when applications are submitted is a Biometrics Collection letter with instructions to go for biometrics. They need the data gotten from the biometrics for the country-by-country information sharing for further reviews and checks on the applicant's admissibility. |

Hello house. My wife got her admission letter last year but had to defer till Sept 2021 She did her medicals in July 2020. She got her PPR in Dec 2020. She is travelling in August 2021. Does she need to do another medicals considering that the one she did in July 2020 would have expired by August 2021? Thank you 2 Likes |

Lyndaa22:he must show commitments by either paying your tuition or have to pay a substantial amount for tuition deposit or send your living expenses of 10k Cad to ur account. which ever one he chooses try and check the refund policy of ur DLI before making such payments so as not to loose the money. If he transfers ur living expenses and tuition to support ur education into ur account you must state that clearly in ur SOP putting the transaction reference and attaching the transaction proof in form bank teller or transfers 1 Like |

Kamsiroyce:She definitely has to do another medicals as medical last only for a year. She shud however book for an upfront medical in time and keep the medical form after the medical has been done so as to be able to use that as evidence at the POE. 1 Like |

olasubomy:Oh okay thank you. For this country-by-country information sharing, do I have to include visas? Because I got a new passport literally the week before I submitted my application so there are no visas in it. I declared the countries I’ve been to in the form, but didn’t include scanned copies of the visas. Also am I meant to include countries I stayed in transit? Like I think I once got a 48 hour visa or something like that because my hotel was outside the airport and the layover was long. Thank you! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by olasubomy: 8:52am On May 27, 2021 |
childgodly: Hi childgodly, The country-by-country means that Canada has set countries that are considered as migration partners. ...i.e. the United States. United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. These countries share information on bio-data, biometrics, and fingerprints on applicants who intend to gain access into their country to determine any criminal record or any form of inadmissibility offence. Like Canada sends to other countries, the United States also sends to Canada and the likes. Secondly, I think you have done the most important aspect of declaring the countries you have been on the IMM form; they have a way of tracking it; since you forgot to include the visa with your application, I don't think there is any negative effect. So the important thing is what you declared. No, I don't think you need to include the transit as you only transited that country to your final destination. You can await more contributions from other honourable members. 1 Like 1 Share |

Congrats How did you go about the accomodation on bookings.com ? Because I thought you have to book with the hotels directly rather than through 3rd party apps ? The accomodation is just for quarantine right ? Lianna2020: |

Amenmay:If you get medical request today, and you're yet to book an appointment, just add another estimated 2 months to your PPR. That's the reality. There's a reason people do upfront medicals. 2 Likes |

Amenmay: Me too. I applied since Feb. 13th. Nothing yet asides NSE which have been submitted. The wait is something else especially with no eligibility Review even started. I just had to book upfront medicals so I'll know I owe them nothing. I advice you book too. The earlier the better to avoid unnecessary delays when they finally remember us. 5 Likes |
