Masari, who spoke to select reporters at Government House Katsina as part of activities to mark second year of his second term in office, argued necessary infrastructure on livestock farming should be provided in States for ranching as against open grazing.

In an area presently delineated as south west,let it be known that we do not have any land to be provided for fulani cattle ranching. There are more than enough land in the north to accommodate all the cows in Africa and if that's not enough,the forest of futa jalon is there as an addition.

Yoruba people have better developmental projects in view than to be wasting their time and energy on some senseless infrastructures for cows. This is one of the many reasons why we should go our different ways. We are simply different in values,ideologies, cultural norms,and what have you ! Imagine,this is 2021 and some aliens still want us to be prioritising issues around rearing of cows !

Omo Yoruba,omo Alade ni e ! Ji, ma sun ! Our God given potentials as the shining lights of the black race will never come to reality if we choose to remain in Nigeria with these backward thinking fulani people ! Open grazing is outdated practice let embrace the modern practice of animal husbandry

I'm very shocked that a northern Fulani man would be so sensible and sensitive to the issue of Fulani herdsmen. May God bless him for saying the truth.

However, open grazing should be stopped.
Many of the issues heating up the polity are very silly and trivial when you think of it.
What makes anyone think that if they are allowed to go on thier own, that they or the entity they left will not survive?
Constitutional review is long overdue and its a welcome development.

Thank God that the 17 southern governors were bold and daring to make that declaration in Asaba.

When you confront these Fulani guys and show them that you mean business (not just empty boasting) and they know that you have the resources to match them, they usually mellow down.

May this mark the beginning of the end to useless open grazing of cows...
