Every generation have their peculiarities and that's why football clubs came up with stringent measures to curb the excesses of players...

Do you know that Fergie didn't allow young players to drive certain cars?

Do you know that he didn't tolerate youngsters wearing different colors of playing boots?

Do you know that he scolded Welbeck when he scored a long range cracker and pulled off a Cantona-esque celebration...

I need not say much about his issue with Beckham...

Even the useless Lingard that took to social media every other day to play act, whilst he was here, how many times have you seen him doing it since he joined West Ham and since reality hit him in the fave?

You hardly see City players online before an important game but almost all of them are on Twitter too, it's the same for Bayern, Liverpool, Madrid and most top clubs...

I know how many times Arsenal legends have criticized the likes of Auba, Lacazette and the Arsenal team in general for their lack of discipline...Arsenal football club are struggling because the players are like sissies, nobody stands up to be counted when it matters and that's where we are headed safe for one or two players who seem passionate about the club...

They should bring in whomever they want abeg

This sissy pandemic is disgusting to see

Above all the simple truth is we'll likely witness this for one more year because the board will allow Ole to see out his contract. The least they can do now is invest heavily in the squad this summer.

Ole said he had a load of goalscorers and match winners starting that should have won the match.

But he lost balance by not selecting Fred. Yesterday, build up from back was mechanical. Then we needed small players to utilise close spaces, it was not there. Pogba and Rashford were too long in stature to do damage. This was why Greenwood was more successful in zigzagging into dangerous areas. Even Bissaka and McTominay looked like trailers.

United shat on theirselves in that match.

While watching the game, I imagined it was against some top club in the Champions League, they would have had us for dinner.

Match only got to penalties because Villarreal were sh!t as well.

You may have a point.

Where do you place a winning mentality in the scheme of things as regards building a long lasting side?

For me I think you have to be a winner first before you can build a title winning side.
Fergie was a winner in Scotland with Aberdeen. He won the cup winners cup beating Real Madrid and Bayern along the way.
So much so he was made interim manager for Scotland at the 86 world cup.
It was only going to be a matter of time before United got back to winning ways.

But you are right with the mercenary theory.

Na come chop those ones dey find.

Someone mentioned Ralf Rangnick.. maybe he works.

Yeah, I remember Mendy’s own.

Man was posting time and time again, funny how it was when City were doing well, so it could actually be overlooked but Pep won’t tolerate nonsense.

Come to United where even in the most painful moment of a loss, some fool is on the media looking for who to give him feeding bottle.
If I'm a fan, na the bolded go pain me pass. Not defending racial abuse but everything have its time to do/say something. If this was a league game, and rashford complains of such(even tho it's wrong to do that immediately after a match), it would have been understandable.
But complaining after losing a final, not just a final but a European final when he didn't even perform well. Mehn that smacks of him being insensitive and inconsiderate to fans pains. At least, he should have waited till the next day not saying such immediately.
To me, it means the final no too mean much to him the way fans are taking it

Being one who has followed the team from Fergie, I still care about putting a lasting structure in place.

A mercenary approach can’t work long term with the kind of board United has. Such approach requires constant funds available to replace players based on the mercenary’s style of play, and I don’t think the board is willing to do that.
This talk of funds being available is not an excuse, how many clubs in Europe have outspent us in the past 10 years? Our recruitment process has been poor and hopefully that has been fixed with the recent changes at the top...

If we need to spend 300m and above every 3 years whilst hiring mercenaries to win trophies then I'm all for it...In 10 years, we'd have spent over 1bn as is the case now...

What good is it to stick with one manager who keeps on failing because of a process that isn't evident?

If we were Leicester, I'd have no qualms with giving a manager ample time to do his thing but no, we are not...

Why are we not asking that the government be given time to fix Nigeria? You want to know why? It's because developed nations have done with hard work with technological advancements and systems that all we have to do like the UAE is use the money we have to import them...The citizens of a poorer country will not demand so much from their government because they know they're simply not rich enough to import those technologies and systems...

Relate the above scenario to Manchester United, Sir Alex has done his bit to put United on the global map, we have more than enough money to buy quality players and pay fantastic wages from all over the world wherever they can be found so, it is not acceptable when we fail and not just one time but for a couple of seasons...A less fancied club much like a poor country will not have their fans demanding just a much, they're allowed to talk about processes and not us...

Legends like Roy Kean should leave us alone. Their criticism of McTominay and Fred made Ole to drop one of them, so that he won't be blamed if it went wrong. I strongly believe if we started them and having Mason as a super sub, we would have won easily.

Mason for Rashford would have been a direct sub and bring more freshness and threat

The board should just find a disciplinarian because this has to stop. Fines should be given for poor performances, bans on excessive use of social media especially before games and after depending on the result.

United has gone the mercenary way before and it didn’t work.

We aren’t asking for the government to be given time because they have proven that getting the country back on its feet is not part of their aim for leadership.

Please let’s not get Nigeria into this conversation.

True.

Ole on his side is spineless and very wrong for being unable make firm decisions.

McFred has proven time and time again that they’re useless without the other, so why try such experiment in what is literally the most important match of his managerial career so far?

Except if one is injured, it makes no sense using one without the other. Quite pathetic that United has to sacrifice an extra man for those two to work.

I have been a proponent of discipline and right professionalism here, but its being interpreted as agenda. Alex Ferguson once went to a house where giggs was having a night party with friends and dragged him out from there. Our players and even manager are over pampered. We go emotional immediately one person decided to say the truth.

It is for example a crime against humanity that DDG on 370k/week could not save 1 out of 11 penalties. Sunce 2018, 3 years now he makes errors that cost us top 4 and trophies on several occasions. Simple ball played at him for a routine catch, will go past him, spanish coach saw it a benched him with beleaguered Kepa. DDG never improved on any of his weaknesses., Criticise him or point it out, they will remember how he saved us from relegation, saying you hate him or have an agenda. A more ruthless club like Madrid, City, Chelsea, Bayern etc and DDG will be gone 2 years ago. Cech and Casillas wasnt as bad as this DDG but was replaced at first opportunity, despite not even doing half of what they did in their prime.

Martial was pampered all over the place, when he is showing clear signs of indiscipline and lack of bottle.

Same with Ole, it is as clear as anything that Ole is a mediocre as a manager, but whenever you point it out, they will start listing a litany of excuses, stating how the ball ricocheted off him into the net in 1999.

We were clearly sinking since last season because of these sissy mentality until Bruno came for a mini revival, Bruno can only take you as far as his strength permits.

Might be costly as there are more important positions that need help at the moment.

Also, Pogba’s weaknesses only show when he has no spine behind him.

At Juve, he had Vidal.. at France, he has Kante. Story is different at United.
