• We allowed slavery TWICE (Arab & Transatlantic)
• We allowed Colonialism
• We allow Neo-colonialism
• Now we allow any 'tom, dick and harry' come into our land and devastate our forests and waters
• We are very short sighted
• We seek immediate gratification, so it is easy to tempt us with all sorts of worthless temporary luxuries

But we cannot build decent societies and welfare systems. We cannot lift our impoverished out of abject poverty. We cannot create Infrastructure for business to thrive. Our educational system is a sham and in shambles. We carry religion on our head, but we are the WORST HYPOCRITES on this planet.

We are not respected anywhere in the world except on an individual basis based on our contributions to more advanced societies.

The men who actually laid industrial foundation for poverty-stricken America were not considered hero, in fact, they call
them "robber barons".

It's the system not the people. When a system is good the people tend to grow. Are Venezuela, Cuba, Columbia etc black countries?
Please go back to history, you will know that most white countries are nations while most black countries are made up of different nations, with different beliefs and ideologies. In Nigeria for example the Hausa/ fulani elites has made education which serve as a form of enlightenment scarce for the ordinary man, while making religion paramount because of power and political gain, an average citizen from the north will not protest against bad governance because he has been brain washed by those elite through religion. Ever wonder why most young chaps that migrate from the north to the south tend to smarter after few months in the south. When you hear bandits being paid ransom of 800m naira, the take home of the foot soldiers may be a paltry sum of 20k. When you look at it in a broad way you will find out that our leaders are the causes of all our predicament.

Exactly! it's such a shame, I don't even think it would be possible for successful private citizens to develop the infrastructure or help the community
