I visited the link and the websites contained therein, what he's proposing is way more advanced that all I've seen, i just hope he's able to pull it off with the right funding and people.
I'm all for anything innovative but from what I've seen, he's not done the research to have a solid business plan. He's got a lot more hurdles than a 50k domain.

This tells me you haven't done a SWOT Analysis. There are already 2 or 3 websites dedicated to what you are talking about. Competition is healthy but only if you can differentiate yourself from the pack. So far, I don't see how you plan to do that if you haven't even done a market analysis. If you don't know what your competition is offering, how do you exceed it? (I'm not your competition by the way.. Unless the naira recovers and brings us on par)

I still don't quite understand what you mean by "online mechanic". So far it seems like you mean an online used parts store.... Which exist in Nigeria...

Hey ! You too mama

my sister we can make this thing work. Before i say that nothing like what i want to build is in nigeria you should know that i have already done my research ma. I don't just wake up and start typing my sister. I have many resourses that can make this thing work from A = > Z except the API that cost more because thats the back bone of the project except if we want to manually upload our product then what will be needed will just be hosting , domain name, script , and modules to add extra functionalities to the website to make it more easier for customer to just filter the main product the want with that module just like autozone . Its a bigger project no one has successfully done in nigeria. If you find any please come up with it. Where you find every car part you need in nigeria. I come in peace.

What do you think has been the hurdle for everyone who wanted to do this? You seem to think the bolded is a minor hurdle grin

Even us with all the resources we have, we gave up doing it overseas and simply create sublogins of our US site- and that's for new parts with only one source from only one part numbering nomenclature (US). Bosch Nigeria has not succeeded either and takes hours to try to match up part numbers. So how exactly do you plan to upload updated inventory daily from Ladipo sellers with part numbers from three different country's nomenclatures (US, SA and Nigeria) with multiple prices. Especially when the sellers themselves often do not have complete part matching information?

Add to that, do you realize the server space you would need to pull this off? A website as you describe it will NOT be able to power this. We have over 25000 unique part numbers and that's not even going as old as cars get here.

I'm not being a downer, I'm being a realist. You are a long, long way from what you are trying to accomplish if I'm understanding you correctly. That being said, AGAIN, WHAT IS AN ONLINE MECHANIC

Go look around on ours. It seems this is what you are trying to do. Correct me if I'm wrong. It took millions of dollars and about 8 years to create. We spent another three years trying to simply link and create Nigerian version and gave up. Same in the Caribbean. I know of at least one other party with deep pockets working on exactly your idea (Amazon of used parts for Nigeria). They've been on it for two years since we told them we were abandoning the project.

I understand everything but nothing is impossible. To be honest with you .. it's not necessary you upload all the spare part of every vehicle .. the thing is there are major parts that are moving market. These are the part I intend to upload manually on my domain and it will be available for every motor from year 2000 till date. It's possible my sister. At least a thousand part for every vehicle isn't bad to start with. And about the online mechanic workshop I see it's part of what you are doing but no vex my sister .. there are things I think you need to do to increase sale .. the online mechanic workshop is the answer .. I wouldn't share that here .. you can dm me ..

How can you spend up to a million dollar and didn't get a positive result ? No need to abandon this project my sister .. you can do it and if you don't want to go ahead with it then let come together to work on this online mechanic workshop.. yes I can do it all alone but I just need a partner who can motivate me .. someone who can keep me going whenever I try to back off. There are things I have in mind which I believe it will make a lot of difference when we start.

bro forget replying to that fellow. he himself doesn't even know what he is saying. you must first be behind someone before you can overtake them but some people delibrately chose to stay behind that same person till whenever they reach their final destination. you are an otondo yes but at least you have come up with a viable business plan which will take you places with the right zeal and technical 'know-how' once you kickstarf it and that is enough.

don't listen to a person who discourages you but still has not raised any important business plan for the house to deliberate on except farming in the village. so because one person sells parts or oil on this thread the ignoramus wants everyone else to keep off that line of work? assuming they give him discounts, commission or preferential treatment it might have been a different thing. go to ladipo, on one line you will see up to 20 shops selling the same type of goods and they all make their sales and profits because they do it for years.

brother chase your dream, if you fail you learn from it and move on. what matters is that your dream makes sense and that is all you need. if you do not nurture and execute your dream you might remain in one spot for years with nothing to show from it.

do you and let them do themselves. monopoly hurts the economy and helps nobody.

there are many places you can get domain names and hosting plans, google about these things one b one. the same place you register yiur domain name might even have their own bulletproof hosting plans for a discount and cheap too.

See this lazy idiota, oh so your reason for being here is to wait for me to come up with an idea why you sit back and steal it and then make millions from my hard critical thinking abi? Mu mu so farming is only for village champions abi? C u... Since your little mind could not even see the prospect and abundance in agroprenuer how then will you ever see anything good in what anybody advises you to venture in as yiur brain is So dead to think for what interests and suits you best.

Young man, I'm not here to give business proposal for free to anyone here other then the once I've been doing here on this thread okay... For your information I get at least 2 calls weekly from this thread to give advise about the ehailing business and each time I'm called upon I'm always glad to render my experience freely and those that call me show appreciation without asking, I'm not you that charge money before you give advice.

So ask me on anything concerning ehailing I'll be happy to engage you 24hrs stretch without asking a dine from you but if it about a different business? Forget I'll charge you big time. Screen shot below will say the rest, just is just a few among many.

Only pitch your ideas to people willing to invest, if I get hidden money somewhere I go use your idea and add some other things, engage in massive marketing and ads, within a year or 2 you're on your foot, raking in the money.

hearing an idea and being able to pull out off are two different things. And again, this already exists in Nigeria. A 5 seconds Google will tell you that. My cousin already did it and has been for over a year. All he can do is improve it.

Mama just bailed him out with a vital info on where to get analysis from... Anyways... Its fine tho, also for ads purpose.

That line of business has been online since na... Even on Facebook you will see lots of them.

No be you I dey refer to bro na that snitch who is planning on stealing your work... Be careful with the kind of information you put up on the internet.

See let me share an experience with you, if I say it I know no one will believe me but I'll saynit anyways. Way back in 2005 I was having a discussion on the phone with somebody and my airtime got finished I was mad because I couldn't walk up to any where close to buy card and top up since I was in a remote area some where in Lagos. The next day I speak with an uncle who used to work with mtn and discussed with about the idea of borrow me card" while i pay on my next recharge... I usually make a lot of calls then... He looked at me and smiled.

Few years later MTN started doing that same service I shared with my uncle, part of the reward I got from him was a job as FME which earned me my 1st million in life... His own rewards?

Now, this dudu Osun soap (I murdered the spelling grin), the chemical formulae was given to the man by another uncle of my...let me stop here...

I've given some rich men some business proposals with the hope of funding only for them to discourage me by telling me to focus on my education bla bla bla then took my proposal and worked on since they've the money and today they made millions out of it.

Bro I no para for you I just dey use my church mind dey hint you ni... I've wish you and given you my blessing b4 didn't I? Trust me I love your enthusiasm pls keep it up and don't allow anyone to talk you down, but the point I'm trying to make you understand is don't try to do competition with anybody (rub shoulders or challenge) that's what I actually meant when I mentioned the word "competition" not the literal meaning per say, shey you get. Set you own goal, face your own race and do you own thing thats what will make you different and unique from your competitors.

Facebook today don't have any competitor, does it? Is it Twitter, MySpace or which site offers that uniqueness Facebook offers ? I cant think of any but that doesn't mean it doesn't have other social media competitors. I hope you u understand what I mean now.

Just that most people won't follow up conversation from the start but will be fast to outline a phrase from people's sentence and make some condescending comments. Its a foolish thing to do.

If you need agro tips go to agricultural page on NL there're lot of them but I won't give people like you the moniker I use on that thread but I can mention a few moniker you can use to trace me... E.g seedworld, magnificentFishfarm... That should do...

If you need ideas to invest in DM I'll help you even think better about any idea you have passion on and help you with a good business plan but mind you it won't come for free.

Forget the typos... Its due to the speed at which my brain works, my fingers are trying hard to catch up so it doesn't miss out in some vital points... Leave the edition for those interested to read and gain something from it.
