I saw this somewhere & thought to share.
I know some people borrow their proof of funds but know that you might be asked for an update at any point so it’s best to keep the money in the account even till you arrive in the Uk.
Just an advice

Goodafternoon, please my cousin is coming to UK as a dependant, husband have been here since December, but she travelled to finish a program else were. she did her TB December which expires 9th of June . she wants to apply 2nd or 3rd of June for priority visa.
please kindly advise if its bests to use same tb test result or redo another one as getting new appointments is in August.
please kindly advice the best way to go about this .

Is either he reapplies or go for AR if he is very sure that the embassy made a mistake.

Seriously somebody need to speak up about the exploitation of foreign students by many UK universities, charging full tuition fees when the student study only online with his or her own resource.

the embassy do contact d bank to know how healthy ur account is. so many at times when they deny people based on finances they knw what they are saying and the applicant too do know but we go dey blame d ECO (not in every cases though, they are humans too and prone to mistakes).

my advice is that if u r borrowing make sure the money is still intact in the account if possble till the day u enter UK

Based on youtube videos by various international students in the UK. It is almost impossible to raise tuition from working in the UK. You can check out such videos on YouTube. They have done the analysis based on the maximum amount you can earn and it just doesnt look feasible.

Yes you can work and study. Perhaps it could work if you can get a school like Hull University where you pay less than 8k pounds for school fees. Or maybe even try to get a scholarship. But without scholarship you will still need to raise some more money to add to the 5m for your visa application, IHS and Flight ticket.


If you have that and you are single , I think you can make it work. You could live in a shared apartment and the money you make from working 20 hours weekly should be okay to pay rent and feed you.

The 8k you are talking about, is it for "Undergraduate/Postgraduate". Because the last time i checked, it's was above 10k for international students

IHS cant be 940 for 2 years, its 1yr - 470+235 = £705
18months - 470+ 470/2 + 235 = £940
2yrs - 470*2 +235 = £1175

You can book, however on the day of the test it is compulsory to write down your Uk address and postcode ( which should be that of the University or University Accommodation) and it will be printed on the certificate.

what if you haven't gotten admission, and you want to do your TB, can you put down an house address of a family member in UK?

we Africans, especially Nigerians are most times overthinking things, them give you admission in three days, you smell rat, they refuse to give admission for over a month in some peoples case " they're too slow" well, it's good to try and make sense of things most times shaa, but some of the information you need regarding the school, you could have got online or ask here. Abeg research them well o, make you nor go where you nor go fit make money pay your bills o if at all
