ISWAP is a bigger challenge at this point assume the death of shekau is true.

The reason is because both insurgent groups were literally operating in the same areas thus causing intelligence failures from their end.

There was a particular operation that communication network for Boko Haram was penetrated and coincidentally ISWAP was like 3 hrs away from the same location planning to conduct theirs.

It was a great offer for the army because it was more or less like two for the price of one and the crap was bombed outta both advancing groups.

Also ISWAP have always accused shakau of not having a strong hold on his men, the main reason was cuz infiltration was easier on them via fighters Libya and Sudan route.

Now shekau is out of the way they are amassing resources to launch even more deadlier attacks.
