What do you know about Enugu State? Do you stay in any of the 17 Local Government Areas of the State? A closer attention should have put you in order. 2 Likes |

the truth is that no Nigerian governor should be celebrated. all their works doesn't reflect in the quality of life in their respective states. Enugu state don't have big industries that can generate revenue for the state. the state don't have robust business centers like anambra and abia. So, the governor focused more making the life of workers better, as the state is known as "civil servant state" the governor tried compered to his counterparts in other states. those that will flood this post to tell you how he didn't perform are miscreants from Enugu west. 1 Like |

This is incorrect! This man has practically done nothing in Enugu. Worst governor in recent times. Nothing in Udi, Oji River, Ezeagu, Nkanu and even in Enugu city. He should just come and do and be going, so that a governor with ideas can come and work. 8 Likes |

aikyg: I don't like his style. I feel he is slow, even in Nsukka there is no legacy project. But he has touched virtually all the rural areas in Enugu State with dots of road projects. I must confess that those agro roads have the capacity to improve the quality of life of those in rural areas tremendously. Developing the state capital is good; likes of Sullivan and Umahi of Ebonyi State took loans to spend in the capital city. But remember that Enugu is one of the largest land mass in Igbo land with a great deal of people and agricultural activities ongoing in the rural areas. My greatest credit to him is that his Goverment has a little or no State sponsored assassination, killing, cultism, political oppression, financial extravagance, borrowing, sack of workers and other vices; as was the case of Chimaroke and Sullivan Paying of civil servants may not be an achievement but it stablises a State. Since 6yrs of Ugwuanyi's administration, I received my salary before 25th of every month, even during the 2 recessions we had. 4 Likes |

During this year’s May Day celebration, jubilant workers of Enugu State were bold and proud to commend Gov. Ugwuanyi for his administration’s laudable projects and programmes aimed at improving their living standard and that of the entire people of the state, as well as his unequalled resilience in the approval and payment of the new N30,000 minimum wage and its consequential adjustment to the state workers. The workers who spoke, through the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Virginus Nwobodo and his Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) counterpart, Comrade Benneth Asogwa, also appreciated Gov. Ugwuanyi, who was present at the annual event, for the sustenance of payment of salaries on or before the 23rd of every month, other welfare packages, as well as numerous development projects across the state, in spite of the state’s lean resources and “even when the scourge of the COVID-19 pandemic was severe". Comrade Nwobodo, the NLC chairman who described Ugwuanyi as “the most labour-friendly governor in Nigeria” said that “it is crystal clear that workers of Enugu State have never had it so good since the present democracy, as it is since the inception of the present administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi”. He thanked the governor, on behalf of the workers, for “regular and prompt payment of workers’ salaries, pensions and other allowances, notwithstanding the high level of wage bill occasioned by the new minimum wage”. On his part, the TUC Chairman, Comrade Asogwa, said that Gov. Ugwuanyi, through the peaceful implementation of the new N30,000 minimum wage and its consequential adjustment “has broken the long history of industrial unrest, intimidation and neglect that heralded the previous minimum wage implementation in the state”. Comrade Asogwa also commended the governor for regular payment of the 13th month salary bonus to state workers from 2015 (except for 2020 pandemic year), safety of lives and property, and the peaceful co-existence of Enugu State people, irrespective of their political, social or religious affiliations. The labour leader equally lauded Gov. Ugwuanyi for the ongoing simultaneous construction of two ultra-modern secretariat buildings for the state chapters of the NLC and TUC, by his administration, stressing that “this further portrays the present government as an all-inclusive one that embraces every group and individuals as partners in governance”. All this about 30k minimum wage My Con3 and bad governance be like ass and Gstring Paying salary is not an archivement |

My Verdict: He's doing the best based on what he has upstairs and the feedback he gets from sycophants around him. Also I reckon that a government that doesn't joke with the welfare of her workers is trying. There is one Obaseki in Edo and he's doing shege to the staff of AAUA as we speak... 1 Like |

According to your delusion we need to state in one of the 17 LGA to know how resounding Ugwuayi the failure is with his twin Ikpease labelled the catastrophe. When the likes of Fashola Akpabio Amechi Kwakwaso Chime Obiano Dakwanabo etc were governors did we need to visit their state to find the project that undertook before we know they all performed reasonably according to Nigeria standard ? Did Ugwuayi hide his own project or you think everyone will be deluded like you have chosen to be n throw the tag of performing governor on Ugwuayi when even the dead know he is a collosus in failure. My brother look at what this dead brain is listing as acjievement. Which state in the SW did not accomplish this ? Even Osun pays its workers as at when due. This is how Igbos shield their failures n castigate Tinubu/Sawnolu. How will a governor be collecting monthly allocation and can't improve IGR or develop the economy of his state? How did Chime do it n how is Umahi able to do it? In 8 years this collosus in failure will not build a single bridge hospital or insustrt and look at what is being listed as his achievement. This are the foolish set of horrible humans that insult Sawnolu who in 2 years commissioned more project that the 8 years of Ugwuayi. Yoruba in the PDP make una try get sense abeg. All a foolish governor can accomplish in 8 years is no cultism assassination political oppression paying worker with his father's money bla bla bla. Sir, you head can never be correct till Jesus come n go. OKKO: 3 Likes |

Tell Ugwuanyi to use the money he's spending on image laundering to pay retired workers their pensions and gratuity. He has completely destroyed every Sullivan built up as a legacy within a few years. . You might be successful in deceiving those on Nairaland but everyone who actually lives in Enugu knows that he's been very useless as a Governor 5 Likes |

Ugwuanyi is literally the worst governor Enugu state will have. If Ike Ekweremmadu picks up the baton from him come 2023...his own go even worse pass. Enugu state don scatter finish 5 Likes |
