Wow..could this be the reason for the delay of my sister’s application? Wow..I never knew this.. she got admission to Sheridan college for practical nursing... Frankrobbn1:
There are some certain schools in Canada that you will struggle to obtain a Canadian study visa if you use their acceptance letter for your visa application. This is most often caused by several factors which include:
A. If the school is located in a remote area in Canada. B. The cost of the program in the school.
I'll point out a few schools I know that international students specifically from Nigeria struggle to obtain visas to study in Canada;
The names of these institutions are as follows;
1. New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) 2. Novia Scotia Community College (NSCC) 3. College of the North Atlantic (CNA) 4. Saskatchewan Polytechnic (SP) 5. ST. CLAIR COLLEGE 6. Red River College 7. Sheridan College 8. Confederation College and a few others.

Officialksolo: There was a mixed up in the questionnaire you filled
The form to fill are:
1.Application for Study Permit Made Outside Canada IMM1294E 2. Family Information Form IMM5645 3. Temporary Residence Visa - TRV Form
Hope this profound solution.
I don't think I filled the Temporary Resident Visa Form during my Study Permit application. I have not also got request for additional information. Is it compulsory to fill the TRV form? |

Yes, pls attach his statement and in your explanation of how you'll pay, make sure you show evidence of the points you are making. Although you should note frm experience the more the documents submitted for review, the longer the eligibility review takes. Goodluck to us all Thank you for your response. |

You'll need to provide proof that your husband is well established. I've gone through your previous posts, your source of fund is basically your salary. If your employer is able to state that you'll still be on the payroll while studying in Canada, that will go a long way, but that also depends on the program you're going for and what is written in your sop. Thanks for your response. It is quite a tough one as I will not want to let my employer know about my plans of leaving for school. I will see how I can work around it. 1 Like 1 Share |

You can book from wakanow, most travel management companies have deal codes given to them by airlines which further reduce most fare on their website hence the reason you are seeing it cheaper from Wakanow. Alchemist01: Hello Guys,
I am trying to book a flight from Lagos to Toronto airport.
From the research I have done so far, the price tickets seems to be cheaper on Wakanow website than the airline website.
My question now is, how reliable is Wakanow for booking flight ticket ?
Has anybody had any issue booking a flight with Wakanow ?
Is it better to just book from the airline website directly ?
From the airline websites, I got the prices below:
KLM Royal Dutch: Lagos to Toronto $797 wait 5hrs in Amsterdam British Airways $675 wait for 11 hrs in London Ethopian Airlines N317K wait 2hrs 45 mins in Addis Ababa and Dublin Fly Emirates N494K wait 4hrs 10 mins in Dubai Qatar Airways $824 Wait 3hrs 10mins in Doha Qatar Lufthansa $847 Wait for 7hrs 35mins in Frankfurt Germany Air Canada $1107CAD wait for 3hrs55mins in Frankfurt
From Wakanow, it is cheaper than the prices above except for Ethopian airline which is close.
So which is better and safer, booking through Wakanow or directly from the airline website. |

I am in the same situation but had to make a hard decision after considering all factors especially the reason for doing this. Cost of Preschool for toddlers isn't cheap depending on the province you are considering. NB quote was at average of $140/wk/child which comes to over $1k per month aside other expenses. Assuming one can afford the financial expenses, how will caring for them all alone be? This is in addition to the school work and settling into a new environment. Imagine having classes and the school call you or having a class running late into the night with 2 kids calling for your attention. Not an easy decision but will ultimately pay off at the end. It will end in Praise!!! SweetJJ: Aaahhh, my kids are 2years (twins) I can't leave one. It's either I apply for both of them or none of them. I was thinking of leaving them behind with hubby because of limited funds and also as hometies. Does this hurt?

TennieYF: I applied on the 14th, no NSE request either. Although I did my biometrics really late, 24th, maybe that is why.
I also applied on the 14th (with Ielts) and biometrics on the 20th. It’s better u book for your Ielts (it fills up so quickly) cos you might get your request soon. |

I already have my IELTS result, just paid form A yesterday, was thinking of waiting and submitting tuition receipt and IELTS result together via webform. Maybe I would just go ahead and submit the IELTS first. Kemdil:

Raised 3 different webforms on the main IRCC page between 16th May and 21st May got a response yesterday 28th saying it's received and has been forwarded to Nairobi visa office where my file is located. So also raise a webform directly on the IRCC page and hope one of all pulls through soon TennieYF:
Please how long did it take to get a response after sending the webform? I also sent webform for additional documents but haven't gotten any acknowledgement yet. I sent to Lagos, Nairobi and London so as to know which office is handling my case, but no response.

Your best bet is to search through the Internet (google) for list of institutions offering PhD positions in your specific field. As a general rule, you will require the consent of a supervisor prior to submitting your application to the department/University.

Hi
To do a PHD (French Language) in Canada , you need to take your time & look for schools in Canada offering French Language at PHD level, check their faculty for their PROFESSORS/ASSISTANT PROFESSORS then look out for their respective RESEARCH AREAS in FRENCH Language, if you see the ones that aligns with your RESEARCH INTERESTS/PRIOR RESEARCH EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND, send a non-generic COLD MAIL to them
See the link below for Schools offering PHD in FRENCH LANGUAGE at CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES, Google them one after the other and explore their FACULTIES to see their PROFESSORS and their respective RESEARCH AREAS in FRENCH LANGUAGE
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=French&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH
Go through the contents in the link below, then relate it to your field of study (FRENCH) and research interests as it relates to your field of study/Academic Background/prior research experience. There are helpful information, documents & videos that can be of massive help to you e.g how to draft a Cold Mail, how to search for PROFESSORS Who has Research Areas aligning with you etc.
https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/561#101054570
As a Prospective Graduate Student (PHD), you need to have the following to kick start your GRADUATE SCHOOL JOURNEY in CANADA
- Academic CV (Well drafted Canadian Style Academic CV) - Transcript (get the student Copy from your school) - Cold Mail (To be drafted & sent to each professors based on their research areas) - Statement of Purpose (SOP) for GRADUATE School (not SOP for Visa Application) - Cover Letter (if required) - Published Thesis (might be helpful) but not Compulsory etc.
There are GRADUATE SCHOLARS on this platform, If you have further questions along the line, do ask
Note: Your target should be for FALL 2022 (September 2022) or WINTER 2022 (JANUARY), so you can begin now in advance by getting your Transcript (Student Copy), Drafting your Academic CV, sending Cold Mails to Professors in your field of study & research areas related to your field of study.
Also work towards getting a FULLY-FUNDED PHD IN FRENCH LANGUAGE offer cos PHD is expensive in Canada. Interestingly, most PHD students in Canada & US are usually funded, so package your Application Well to get funding |
