I came across a thread on Nairaland Forum about plan by a leading mobile phones manufacturers, itel, to launch their own laptop and earpuds https://www.nairaland.com/6573303/itel-launches-ear-phones-laptop

After going through that thread, I came to conclusion that the move by itel is one that will positively change the lives of many Nigerians.

At present, it costs huge amount of money to purchase a good brand new laptop computer in the Nigerian market. Due to the high cost of brand new laptop computers, lots of Nigerians have been opting for "UK used" laptops or refurbished Laptop computers that are packaged as UK used, which are sold little bit cheaper than brand new but still expensive to the average Nigerian. Despite the relative expensiveness of these UK used laptops computers, they neither come with warrantee of any form nor is there any assurances of their durability. At best, customers purchasing them do so at their own risk.

For instance, a UK used laptop computer I bought in August 2015 only lasted less than 2 months before folding up. I regretfully sold it less than 20% of the amount I bought it after spending several amount on repairs. If it was a brand new product, I'd simply had gone to the where I bought it with my warrantee card to ask for free repair or an exchange.

Considering that itel is famous for producing quality mobile phones and smart phones that are relatively affordable to the average Nigerian, I expect that their Laptop computers will not be anyway different.

Therefore, the introduction of laptop computers into the Nigeria market by itel will give the average Nigerian the luxury of owning with brand new laptop computers that come with a minimum of 12 months warrantee and at an affordable rate.

I recall that several years ago, smartphones were very expensive to the average Nigerian, in fact, one will be called "rich" by mere owning of smart phones. This however changed after itel (and her sister brands entered Nigerian market).

Today, any Nigerian, including students and rural dwellers can own a brand new itel smartphone of high quality with as little as 17,000 naira, anyone could purchase a brand new itel A14 Smartphone, while the trendy itel s16 pro can be gotten for 40,000 naira.

I'm not rich but I'm happy for this development, my expectation from itel is that their laptop computer remains affordable for the Nigerian.

I rest my case.

Where can I see more about this laptop?

Also you can buy Oraimo power banks. They are as durable as anything you can think of.

With the way OP wrote this article one would think the he has had a test run of the laptop and is giving us pristine feedback so maybe other nairalanders can purchase one. But as usual licking Itel's ass. We have seen enough of these praise articles. What we need is user reviews not the same praise articles over and over again.

Pathetic reasoning. The point of the thread is anticipating the Laptop computers.

Does itel make quality but affordable smartphone? Absolutely Yes. So why the obsession and blind criticism?
