There is more to it than just refining crude oil and making it into engine oil.... Millions of dollars are invested in doing research and test lab ..... It takes special technical skill to do this ......

Whether you heat the oil in Nigeria or the U.S of A at about 300°c you get lubricating oil. Simple! Now what makes the difference is the additives. Get good additives and mix at the right ratio and I believe all will be fine.

Plz read his post ... He said na simple process na just add additives remain. No test lab done etc ......he should not worry Dangote will soon finish building is refinery .. He will sack all the foreign engineers and replace them with the Crvrider guy......

Well, for that we have to go to a company like Infineum that produces the additive packages such as PARANOX 5043 and PARANOX 5510 for synthetic lubricants.

The active ingredients are 1.94% to 4.07% by Mass (weight) the balance is Petroleum Oil. (Petroleum oil being your conventional fractional distilled oil)

That is about 98% or 96% of the "Additive Package" in ready to blend form is Petroleum Oil!!!

They (Infineum) recommend treat rate for FULLY FORMULATED lubricant (Motor Oil) of 10 to 20% of the finished product.
