I think it will be stressful schooling n no one to hold baby for you and nanny i heard is expensive .

I’m actually leaving an infant behind , I’d apply for both of them separately.

Yes sis, how many hours would one have for the infant and nanny is expensive. Lastly getting a good one & not an evil stranger is another thing.

Hello Guys,

I am trying to book a flight from Lagos to Toronto airport.

From the research I have done so far, the price tickets seems to be cheaper on Wakanow website than the airline website.

My question now is, how reliable is Wakanow for booking flight ticket ?
U can book from them....wakanow is real

Has anybody had any issue booking a flight with Wakanow ?

Is it better to just book from the airline website directly ?

From the airline websites, I got the prices below:

KLM Royal Dutch: Lagos to Toronto $797 wait 5hrs in Amsterdam
British Airways $675 wait for 11 hrs in London
Ethopian Airlines N317K wait 2hrs 45 mins in Addis Ababa and Dublin
Fly Emirates N494K wait 4hrs 10 mins in Dubai
Qatar Airways $824 Wait 3hrs 10mins in Doha Qatar
Lufthansa $847 Wait for 7hrs 35mins in Frankfurt Germany
Air Canada $1107CAD wait for 3hrs55mins in Frankfurt

From Wakanow, it is cheaper than the prices above except for Ethopian airline which is close.

So which is better and safer, booking through Wakanow or directly from the airline website.

Happy Sunday everyone. I applied April 11th and I submitted my IELTS and normal bank statement and did biometrics April 26th since then no Nse request and no eligibility review. I’m thinking if I should send MBS on the webform so maybe my application can be faster. Note that I already submitted normal bank statement o. Should I go ahead and raise a webform for MBS.
Yes, you can.

Good morning,
I'd appreciate it if I can get help from anyone here. A relation wants to move to Canada through the study route. He has a BSc economics (2:2), a PGD in education. What programs/courses can he do? I'd appreciate it if anyone can recommend schools too.
Thanks
He should go for a program inline with job experience.

Good day everyone.

My discipline is as follows:

1) Diploma in Computer Engineering

2) B.Eng in Computer Engineering

3) M.sc in Information Technology

4) M.Sc in Electrical Electronics Engineering

I'm 37 years old with a family of two and I want to apply for Canada or USA for a doctorate degree.

Do you think I stand any chance based on my age?

Is it better off I go the Canadian immigration route?

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks in advance.
You definitely stand a chance. Age is not a barrier especially for an applicant going for a doctorate.

Hi,

I want to assume you're a single applicant with no dependents accompanying you to Canada.

You will need to confirm from your admission letter or school website what the tuition fee for one year for your program will be. Also, add $10k CAD for living expenses for a year. ($11k CAD if you're going to Québec). Convert the sum to naira and the answer to your question will become glaring. You may want to add some buffers too to be on a safe side to convince the VO that you will not struggle with your financial responsibilities.

IRCC requires at least 4 months statement. However, if you want to satisfy NSE requirements, you will need to show "mybankstatement" certificate for 1 year transaction on your account.

Before I forget, remember to factor on the costs associated with the study permit application such as application fees, biometrics, medicals, etc.

Finally, as you're thinking of proof of fund, think harder too on how to establish strong home ties.

I hope this helps.
thanks for ur response and to the Gurus here doing a great Job free of charge God bless u all.ur answer helps bro but av been scared since someone said on this platform that for a two year course with total school fees approximately 35k CAD u will need at least 55k CAD and av been scared cos all I have is about 45CAD as proof of funds and I intend to pay one year school fees of 17,550 CAD before I apply.I presently dont have any sponsor as my brother who is in Canada just bought a house and car on mortgage and is paying heavily monthly.am just scared of applying because I have no other source for now.though I have Two cars and a house here in Lagos but I heared they can only serve as Economic ties not not POF

If you have good grades (at least 2.1 or more) in your degress (particularly, the most recent qualification) and you can put together a great SOP/research proposal, including some evidence of research publication (co-author of articles and/or book chapters), just go for a PHD. You have a good chance of sucess in Canada, with such a profile.

Hi everyone. I have an issue that is really disturbing my whole being to be honest.

Am married with two kids. My second child is a Brazilian and first child, me and hubby has a Brazilian PR.

I finished with second class upper in my bachelors and masters degree respectively. The issue now is that i wouldn't want to go for phd in Canada because that 4years will be hectic for me.

However, i do not know how to convince the VO if i should go for a second masters program.

I would also want to know if i can take my family along while going.

I will be glad if i could get a well detailed advice guys. Thanks

Hi @sonsynas..... Concerning your first issue in doing a second Masters even though with a Second Class Upper, I would use my case to give you my advice. I graduated from Cambridge in my Undergrad and just rounded up my Masters last year in Dublin. I would advice you to get a MSc course/program which aligns with your previous Masters (depending on when you finish) as I did and tell the VO why and why that program will be of immense development to you as a person. I will give you an example. I am a Lawyer, yeah, but I opted to Business in my first Masters and applied for the MBA program with UCwest and even though i was discouraged that it wasnt a good idea, I can tell you today, I am currently in Canada waiting for the July session to begin.

In other words, all these boils down to how you present your SOP and PLEASE...try to make a very convincing argument in your study plan. I hope this helps??

About your second issue, sorry i am very much single and dont know much about family immigration. The gurus and others in the house can aid you further.

It will surely end in praise.

Please when a PR wants to help you apply for GCMS notes, will they fill the section 1 of the consent form? Where u have the designated representative information in addition to the applicant filling the section 2 or is it just the section 2 the applicant will fill and that's all? Please assist with a response.

@buzzme. Happy you made it to Canada.
Thanks for your response as it goes a long way . I majored in politics and governance in bsc and international relations in msc.

What do you think about doing public policy analysis as second masters. Do you think its something that will fly?

After getting my visa was when I just knew that there is no longer an available seat for my program at UWinnipeg. I am supposed to resume by August, but now I have been given a new LOA for January. The school however promised to mail me in case there later becomes an available seat for August.

My question is ‘am I supposed to inform IRCC that I am no longer resuming by August due to unavailability of seat?’ If yes, can I wait till like July ending before informing them, since the school already promised to enroll me should a seat becomes available?

NB: My stamped passport is already with me.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Akannitommy: 3:25am On May 31, 2021
Congrats on your visa issuance. If there was a definite decision on seat availability in August, then it would be best to inform IRCC now. But since there is a small chance you could still get a seat this fall then no worries on that. I will suggest you wait until it is absolutely clear in about two months from now, before you inform IRCC.

If I understand correctly, the same school already issued you a new LOA automatically for Winter 2022, then you are even luckier than most people who lose class seats. In several such cases, students have had to re-apply for admission in same school or elsewhere and woud often be unsure of an admission in same or similar course.

Good morning everyone. God bless you all for the great works you are doing here. I have read a lot here, yet I am confused on which route I should take to Japa
from this country. I want you all to assess my chances before I venture into anything.
I will be 36 in 2 weeks. I am married with 3 kids. I have ND accounting (2004) , Bsc Accounting (2008), Msc Policy Analysis (2016). I have done WES for my Msc. I also work with a federal government agency as an internal auditor for about 10 years now. I have done IELTS and passed 9,9,7.5,7 in R,L,W,S, respectively.

The initial plan is to go through the EE, but I couldn't garner more than 446 points, even with hubby, who is 39years. This endless wait for FSW draw is also discouraging to say the least. Hubby works with a government agency and has 17 years experience.

On the other hand, if I want to go through the study route, I can only do a PGD because my BSc. Grade is 2:2. How do I convince the VO of going for a PGD after obtaining MSc?

For POF, hubby has some money, and he has a friend who is willing to sponsor

If I may add, I have a very rich travel history to the US, UK, France and other countries...

Please gurus, help me. Whats my best chance?

I will need advise please and yes, I am open to any form of it.
God bless
