Remilekun187: Data Analytics is a context based learning and any material that does not define its context will not fulfill your yearning. People from different industry use the same data differently depending on what they are looking for. from my personal experience, if you have a learning material that does not include dataset and the context of that dataset, it will not achieve much for you. Since you have your degrees, try and get skills needed by engaging in very good learning materials with dataset and context defined. Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and IBM Data Analytics Professional Certificate are offered by Coursera and I am sure they will be good for you. Udacity and DataCamp have similar courses. Above all, get real dataset yourself and work on it while acquiring your skills. All the best 4 Likes 1 Share |

just to put this out there tho, interviewed for a Data Analyst role last week, got to the last stage and negotiated for a salary for 250k (Entry Level). could have been picked just that i am still serving and i am not in Lagos (Job is in Lagos and requires you to be on-premise at least twice a week). this thread has been helpful alot since i started my journey. Keep pushing everybody! it is a rewarding career. 8 Likes 1 Share |

wwwtortoise:started with excel than power BI (DAX) then SQL. I didn't learn Python. No certification apart from the one I got from Udemy. Maven Analytics is what I have been using to learn on udemy. If you can learn SSIS, SSRS and SSAS it would be awesome. You can transistion to BI Engineer 13 Likes 4 Shares |

Sellout: Thanks for the insight. My excel & SQL skills are at intermediary level and I’m about to take up some python crash course - Google Automation in coursera. I intend to wrap up with data visualization. With your input, guess I have more areas to cover then. 3 Likes |

Dahyormine: You are so on point. Forecasting with ARIMA comes with a lot of stress. Picking the right order values and all. Poor me just learnt you can actually carry out forecasting from power BI. Had to google that just now and like you said, its just a few clicks. Learning never stop as they say. Thank you chief. 2 Likes |

Dahyormine: But scraping from web is not as palatable as we may think. This works the same as get data from web in power query in excel shared with power BI. The only downside to both is, they can only scrape from table. Beautiful soup and other scraping framework give you flexibility to scrape unstructured HTML page. |

wwwtortoise:python is great, I'm also about to start a course on python too then learn Pyspark and airflow to transition into data engineering. Just keep improving bro. The most important thing is the concept and how to Google your way to solve a particular problem if you are stuck! 3 Likes |

Why Data Science is important? Data has always been an integral part of disciplines. If we have a look at any business data direction has always been a task. Virtually all industries are digitizing, Nowadays. Additionally, data collection in sensors, weblogs, cellular devices, and instruments have increased in the current times. Believe it or not, there is a boom in new technologies which are emerging simply to organize this avalanche of information. With the support of Data Science, the experts are able to identify the patterns and regularities in all sorts of information which lets the corporate produce value. It will not be wrong to state that the information scientists are the future of this generation that is forthcoming. Best Data Science training institute in Pune |

Leaders in the house come and update the house, this place is silent. Finally took a bold step today, I starting my journey into data science starting with Python, mehn I was dozing off while watching the course, guess it was my first time. I'm devoting the whole of this month to constant watching and practicing. I believe a month will do then I can transit to other courses. |

Re: Chronicle Of A Data Scientist/analyst by qrymz(m): 9:12pm On May 31, 2021 |
I'll advise you start from the basics... Excel/Google Sheet Power BI/Tableau SQL (MySQL/Postgres/SQL Server are some of the most used DBMS) A lot of things will make more sense to you by the time you start learning Python/R with respect to Data analysis/science so please drop python now and start all over. belovez: 6 Likes |
