Can you imagine? People who don't know history will believe all he said about the military. The military destroyed our independence structure and constitution gave us their satanic verses called constitution. Yet he is blowing nonsense. Abuja wasn't the initiative of the military, and of course they have been a major part in building it because they came to government which is not legally their business. Through it, they did more harm than good.

This is a welcomed development, pragmatically speaking, Nigeria is a Muslim majority country and Islam is Nigeria's dominant religion. Unfortunately, some Muslims are not allowed to practice their faith in peace, imagine a school girl having her hijab ripped off at her school in the SW.

Such freedoms should be guaranteed by law. Development can only happen when there is strict adherence to rule of law and religious freedom. Let's live together in harmony.

Muslim majority?this religion of a thing eeh!I reserve my comments.

Please, let's not insult our nation's Royal Fathers, especially the Sultan. He has served his fatherland well and continues to. Your statement is not totally accurate as Muslims in the SW face persecution for their beliefs even though Islam makes up the vast majority in the region if a proper census was conducted.

you mean to say ROYAL TERRORIST?

Sultan of Sokoto may be a religious leader but being an educated mind, he disappointed big time with his priorities at the Constitution Review session.

More important than a piece of cloth that adds nothing to any Muslim girl's morality is access to quality education even when they are married in order to tap into their God-given capabilities and live a productively fulfilling life like the daughters of the elites.

However, it is refreshing to hear the Sultan make a case for a new constitution. Assuming that he was sincere, it gives a glimmer of hope for reaching a consensus on key issues.

Religious fanaticism rots the brain

With all that is going on his concern is hijab, right? Isn't the country a secular state?
That is when you'll know these people are backward thinkers and that's the reason they are not moving forward cos religion has beclouded their sense of reasoning. Advanced countries are coming up with developmental initiatives, this sultan of all things can only rack his brain to import hijab issue. For your information, the southwest, southeast, south-south and middle belt are tired of this forced marriage and will soon leave whether you like it or not. It is only these northerners that is not interested to leave cos they contribute nothing to the economy except insecurities and threat.

All you people care about is domination, only when you're not in full control will you be singing about tolerance.

When you have a large majority of the population you will be singing a different tune, destroying people's hard work and silencing critics.

Is nigeria a secular or religious country?
Re: Sultan Proposes Unrestricted Wearing Of Hijab By Muslim Women by Mccullum: 9:00pm On Jun 01, 2021
The Sultan is entitled to his opinion, he mentioned hijab simply because he's the leader of Muslims in Nigeria.

On the pressing issues in Nigeria, he opined on forgetting the error of military regimes in respect of constitution they made.

That there are options for the country, either to change the constitution or to amend it before next election in 2023

His opinion on constitution covered all Nigeria predicaments, that is the manual using to operates Nigeria state and it's source

of most of the crisis in the country.

Oga.. It's called a federal "republic" of Nigeria, republic means no role for monarchy, plus its a secular country, there shouldn't have been any role for sharia in the 1st place, if you want your daughter to wear hijab to school, there are alot of Islamic schools you can enroll her into let's have peace.

There can never be any progress with this kind of people.
While Saudi Arabia, UAE etc are seriously breaking ties with stone age mentality, Nigerian moslims are busy plunging themselves backward into the dungeon of backwardness.

Sir, I'm a Catholic and my religion allows me to take my bottle of whiskey. I want to be able to do that everywhere without molestation.
Also I want to run a piggery to supply the whole North pork meat especially during Easter and I'll like to situate it in Kano.
Lastly, on Sundays, I want to be able to do my church services on the main road in Kaduna just as Muslims do on Fridays.

Thanx sir

There are many reasons why a school may be more convenient than another, but the fact remains that Islam has for too long been suppressed in this country and it is the dominant religion.

Imagine if christianity was the dominant religion, and this was taking place.

How is Islam the dominant religion?
Islam is being suppressed? I guess Shekau is a Christian. I guess OIC is a conference of Christian countries. Say things that can be believed to bare lies. It's too early for taqiyya
