Please guys, could guys advise me about sending my transcript from my I want to have a copy apart from the student copy.
I don't know the one uni-assist usually request for and I want to apply to schools in the US
The person I sent, my school is asking her where do I want to transfer it to.

So where is the right place I can transfer it to in other to have access to it whenever I needed it to apply to schools?

uni-assist is for DE not US ooo. US Schools regard Transcripsts sent directly from your school as Official. Also, get the address from the international admissions office of the US school you are sending it to so that it will be sent to that address.

Hi gurus!

I booked my F1 visa interview appointment about six weeks ago using SEVIS ID of a particular school. I recently got admitted into another school with full funding. I wish to go the school that gave me full funding. I checked my CGI page and there was no place where I could update my SEVIS ID.
Please can you walk me through the process of changing my SEVIS ID to this new school?

PS: I haven’t paid my SEVIS fee yet.

Thanks for your help

Good morning people. God proved himself great this morning at the US embassy, I appreciate God for His faithfulness. Thanks to everyone on this platform for your numerous and useful contributions. The visa appointment was by 9:45am today.
Status: visa approved.
Full transcript will be sent soon.

As promised, here is the full transcript of my encounter at the Lagos Embassy yesterday. I am sharing this to encourage someone and for the person to believe that with God, nothing is impossible and indeed there is a God who rules in the affairs of men. The key prayer focus should be favour. Fast forward to the experience/encounter. Two years ago, I was refused B1/B2 visa at the Lagos Embassy and when I was in the queue, I saw the same VO who refused me then and within me I was praying silently that God let it not be this VO who would interview me today. Lo and behold, I was told to go to his window and it was as if I had my heart in my mouth, I could feel my heartbeat because of the fear. He gave the lady in my front blue paper, I didn't listen to their conversation because I wasn't paying attention, I was praying within me. After giving the lady the blue slip, he was still speaking with the lady, then I was told to move to the next window which was vacant (instant answered prayer). However, when the VO who eventually interviewed me, asked the first question, I wasn't really stable because I'd thought I would be interviewed by the other guy. Let me not bore you with too much story. The interview did not last more than 3 minutes, here is the transcript;

GA: $18K
Deficit: $2.5k
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning Sir.
VO: Pass me your passport and i20 (VO started typing)
Me: I did
VO: You are going for a master's program at the University of Nebraska right?
Me: Yes Sir
VO: Why this program?
Me: (trying to become stable). My reason for this program is fueled by my interest in understanding the interactions between diet and human genes, the molecular basis of obesity. (VO was just gazing at the computer screen, I didn't know whether he was hearing me or not)
VO: What will this degree do for you?
Me: This program will expose me to both theoretical and practical aspects of nutrigenomics such that when I return to Nigeria, I will be able to contribute to the research projects of the metabolic research group of the bleep university where I work and for years I have been assisting them in this lab for their research projects. (VO was just nodding his head)
VO: Are you married?
Me: Yes
VO: Is your wife going with you?
Me: No
VO: Why?
Me: She is currently in school for her graduate program at a Nigerian university.
VO: I think I will be giving you this chance, hang on a second (VO started typing)
Me: Ok Sir.
VO: Who is sponsoring you?
Me: I have a graduate assistantship that covers the tuition and monthly stipend while my uncle will take care of the deficit. (I was surprised VO did not ask for SOA)
VO: Your visa is approved.
Me: Thank you, Sir.
VO: Take your i20 along with you, you will need it at the port of entry and take your passport at this circled location, other information is on that slip.
Me: Thank you, Sir. Enjoy your day!
Na so I just packed my things commot from the VO's window and was just praising God.
PS: For you to experience a seamless visa interview, the God factor is very crucial, pray and fast. For it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of the Lord that showeth mercy. For those who will still be going for visa interview, I pray that God's mercies will speak for you in Jesus name. Amen!

What a beautiful read. Congratulations my Warri brother! Welcome to the United States!
fdecisive:
Date: 1st June 2021
Status: Approved
Funding: Full Ride

Since last week, I have been watching boxing legend Mohammed Ali and his fights with Frazier and Foreman. So today when I was inside the consulate, I began to get a bit nervous. So I began to warm up (subtly though) just like Ali does, from left to right... smiley smiley . Watch him on YouTube, you'd love it. smiley

While on the queue, I saw several cases being adjudicated. There was a guy who couldn't string two or three sentences without a serious grammatical mistake, he didn't sound like someone who passed English at all. On top of the fact that he was telling obvious lies. But he was speaking forcefully, and in the end, his visa was approved, to everyone's surprise. There was a guy who was practically fidgeting, didn't know where he had worked just a couple of years ago, couldn't say what the degree will do for him. But his visa was approved. In my mind... See grace. There were others who seemingly said everything right, and were calm and confident too, but were still denied. Fear God.
It got to my turn.

VO(Caucasian): Good afternoon
Me: Good afternoon sir.

VO: So tell me, what are you going to do?
Me: I'm going to the university of xxxx to gain knowledge and conduct a research with Dr xxxx and Prof xxxx, on how government policy on internally displaced persons, refugee, and migrants are formed; this study will lead to a masters degree in International Studies, and prepare me to take up a role as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at xxxx, where I currently work. (I stopped, and VO was still typing and looking through my i-20).

VO: (He kept mute for about 20 seconds. He was checking my I-20 all the while I was speaking and kept typing even after I stopped.) Suddenly, he heaved a sigh, opened his mouth, and said... Alright, I will be giving you this document, and approving your visa. We got a lot of folks in queue and I can see you got a full ride, so let's not waste much time.
So here's your i-20, you can pick up your passport from Monday next week at DHL office, VI... Have a wonderful trip to America.

Me: Already smiling. Thank you so much. Have a nice day!
The whole process took just over a minute.

First of all, I want to appreciate the Almighty God for this. I return all the glory to God. I will share part of my story below to motivate and inspire someone out there. You can make it, if you will try!

Good morning. Was at the embassy today but was turned back that my Ds160 number is different from the one programmed for the interview. Guess it was the previous one I filled last year that was transferred. How do I go about it please. I was to book another one in 3 working days

Try and update your CGI profile. Make sure the bar code or numbers on the confirmation page (obtained after the submission of your DS160) correspond with the bar code on your appointment slip.

VO: Good morning.
Me: Good morning sir.
VO: So, what are you going to do in the USA
Me: I am going for my Masters degree program in Journalism at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
VO: Why this school?
Me: I chose the institution because it’s master’s degree in journalism provides the perfect blend of scholarly research writing and journalistic writing with flexible and practical courses such as Investigative News writing and reporting which for me are greatly responsive to the skill-demand of the present age and align with my own investigative journalism career objectives. I was also attracted to the school’s dedication towards community services that are targeted towards children. Additionally, I was awarded a fellowship grant by AAUW to undertake an investigative research on Child trafficking for my graduate study at UALR. This research will explore trafficking activities that occur from Benin Republic, which is the hub for trafficking, to Nigeria, which is the final destination for most trafficked children in West Africa. I will be working closely with Prof. xxxxx. So I believe getting all these from this university will prepare me appropriately for my career as an Investigative Journalist.
VO: (nods his head and checks my I-20) Oh! That fellowship is AAUW here? (Points to my I-20)
Me: Yes sir.
VO: What is your university degree?
Me: I have a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.
VO: (nods again)What have you being doing since graduation?
Me: After my graduation in 2018, I interned in major newspapers and magazines in Nigeria as a news writer, investigative reporter and copywriter, such as Bleep, Bleep Magazine and Bleep. I have also worked as a volunteer in Bleep, xxxx, xxxx and Bleep. Currently, I work as a testing specialist for xxxx, a hr software development company and I am looking to transitioning full time into the journalism world.
VO: What does your father do?
Me: He owns acres of land where he operates a commercial fertilizer farm business in Lagos. He develops and distributes organic and inorganic fertilizer and animal feeds to major Agro-businesses in Nigeria. He is also a well-respected real estate developer. He buys, builds and sells landed properties. My dad has also partnered with several organizations to provide land for their employees.
VO: ( Takes the white slip and says the magic words) I would be approving your visa. You would need your I-20 at the point of entry bla bla bla ( I didn’t hear the rest cheesy)
Me: Thank you sir ( and I floated out of the room, I am sure I did not walk cos my legs were not touching the ground cheesy)

I would like to thank @horlahsunbo225, @schrodinger1 and @layez, for not getting fed up with my mock requests, chats and endless questions. God bless you guys real big!

PS: he didn’t ask for any document and trust me, the interview took less than 5 minutes.

VISA APPROVED.

I have been a silent member of this group for about 4 months & I have gained a lot reading other people transcripts so I am posting today as a way giving back to this group

Appointment time: 7:15am, Lagos US Consulate.

Profile:
Full tuition waiver with monthly stipends
Deficit: 11,419 dollars

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning

VO: please pass me your i20 & passport
Me: I passed it

VO: what's your study plan?
Me: Master of Accounting at Georgia Southern University takes 2years to complete with a minimum of 30 credit hours of graduate course work. This includes 18 core credit hours & 12 elective credit hours . The electives courses are designed to allow students to personalize their program of study to fit their career objectives.( I wanted to add the courses I will be taking but he cut me & said he wouldn't be needing that information)

VO: what are the benefits of this degree to you?
ME: A master degree in Accounting would enable me build on my existing skills & knowledge as an Accountant, as I presently have a bachelor of science degree in Accounting and also 2 years of relevant work experience working as an Accountant in Both a manufacturing & an Accounting firm.

A master degree in Accounting would also provide me with the education qualification to be qualified for senior/managerial roles in the accounting sector here in Nigeria.

VO: How did you find out about this school
Me: I carried out an extensive search using academic websites such as USnews.com and gradschool.com. I then streamlined my search to schools that offer an M.sc degree program in Accounting & also to schools whose course curriculum aligns well with my goal.

VO: I can see you have a full tuition waiver, who will be paying for the rest of the fees
Me: My dad & uncle would be paying for the deficit.

VO: what does your dad do for a living?
Me: My dad is a Civil servant & owns rental properties both in Lagos state & Ondo state Nigeria. while my uncle is a motor dealer, he import fleets of motor cars & buses from other countries sell them here in Nigeria .

VO: He gave me a white paper & said he will be approving my visa....................( I blanked out at this point & didn't hear the other things he was saying)
Me: Thank you.

Thank you, it has been corrected and have booked appointment.

Hello guys many days are now available to book in June in Lagos. I just picked a date not quite long.
tunapawizzy:

I am not quite sure about using another email for ur DS160. But i know with the US visa application, its better to keep your data uniform across board. Maybe you put a call through again. Mine was done while i was on call with the support person. Immediately i finished with her, it was already effected.

Please house I have a crucial question bothering me.
On my 1-20 form I was given fundings from my dept for 12 months as a TA that covers my tuition and living expenses. I have about $5,000 surplus for the year. But my program is 2 years. On my funding letter, scholarship for the 2nd year is conditional. Meaning I have to attain a gpa of 3.00/4.00 to get an extension. My older brothers statement of account is fair enough to cover my trip. But not my second year expenses. Please! For those that have had their interview would I be mostly likely asked for proof of funding despite the scholarship details on the 1-20 form? My appointment is in 2 weeks time. I am really worried. Thanks.

As promised, here is the full transcript of my encounter at the Lagos Embassy yesterday. I am sharing this to encourage someone and for the person to believe that with God, nothing is impossible and indeed there is a God who rules in the affairs of men. The key prayer focus should be favour. Fast forward to the experience/encounter. Two years ago, I was refused B1/B2 visa at the Lagos Embassy and when I was in the queue, I saw the same VO who refused me then and within me I was praying silently that God let it not be this VO who would interview me today. Lo and behold, I was told to go to his window and it was as if I had my heart in my mouth, I could feel my heartbeat because of the fear. He gave the lady in my front blue paper, I didn't listen to their conversation because I wasn't paying attention, I was praying within me. After giving the lady the blue slip, he was still speaking with the lady, then I was told to move to the next window which was vacant (instant answered prayer). However, when the VO who eventually interviewed me, asked the first question, I wasn't really stable because I'd thought I would be interviewed by the other guy. Let me not bore you with too much story. The interview did not last more than 3 minutes, here is the transcript;

Amen!

Finally, a case like mine. I was denied B1/B2 visa 2017. I'm hopeful.

Good day house, Please I’m currently unemployed, is this a red flag? Also how can I explain it on my ds160?
Thank you in advance

Please can someone help me out? I’m not sure what to do. I’ve been actively searching for a job since my nysc but haven’t been successful so far. Anyone in the house who got their visa even though they were currently unemployed?
Thank you
