Please guys, could guys advise me about sending my transcript from my I want to have a copy apart from the student copy.
I don't know the one uni-assist usually request for and I want to apply to schools in the US
The person I sent, my school is asking her where do I want to transfer it to.

So where is the right place I can transfer it to in other to have access to it whenever I needed it to apply to schools?

Very simple...look for someone that works in a big school or in a company.

In fact, in any private organization that is registered liaise with the person, then your school will send it direct to the school or company. The person you send should tell them you're requesting it for job purposes.

As soon as it reach the company or school you put their name and address they will call you to come and pick it but make sure the school is govt approved or the company in question is a limited or public liability company.

Do we actually need to do this to ourself. We all know most of us want to be a better person educational and I guess some spoil the chances by coming to an online platform to say they want to Japa. Incase you don't know internet never forgets, you have to know that those statement affected some people's educational journey.

Now if it's true that some of us Nigerian come here to discourage and give wrong info, that's too bad, we are suppose to be for ourself first before another other person. I feel sad for us.

May everything in heaven and on earth work in your favor.

So apt!!!!

Spot on.

Fatalveli:
The fact that we have to protest to get a date is not worth it.

In 2020, after the lockdown was lifted, several people took to Twitter to protest, tagging the German missions and several others of their ministers and ambassadors but in the end it was a dead end. Not one of them responded or acknowledged the problem. In fact the ambassador to Germany made a post on Twitter in this regard, he said tabled the matter already in Germany, yet nothing has been done about it till now.

How about the students who went to the Germany consulate to protest with cardboards. Soldiers rounded them up and made us sit on the ground for daring to display cardboards to protest in their backyard.

The fact is German consulate is fully working. Most of us here lack foresight. I have also carefully documented some things and I believe the consulate just want to give AD to students and not those masquerading as students to emigrate.

I graduated in 2019. Two people I know who graduated before me went to Germany in 2019 immediately after their service, which was the same thing I planned to do. I finished my service in October 2020. I already had admission in Bremen, Frankfurt and Potsdam, paid semester fee for Potsdam and waited on AD which never came.

But sadly things didn’t turn out as planned. Now imagine this, two of my friends who graduated in 2018, went for masters in 2019, I graduated in 2019 and can’t get an appointment at the consulate in 2020. This is all in the space of a year.

Then I started noticing random attacks on some prominent German threads on this forum.

People create threads and say really good things about Germany. Then when people who wants to japa comes across such topic, they start asking questions on the best way to japa. The thread owners start advising them to use study route. Now imagine the German embassy that usually get let’s say 200-300 applications in a year is now getting more than 2000+ in a single year. They must’ve really thought Nigerians really love education. But then we forget that only those who really wants to study will focus in school.

Someone who only wants to japa will never focus and end up with mediocre grades or totally drop out and then enter the streets.

During the early months and mid 2020, there was a huge clampdown on all threads advising people who wants to japa to enter Germany. The owners of the threads were attacked verbally till everything turned chaos. In fact I am 100% certain than if not for Odogwuekeke and few others who regularly comment on this very thread, I believe it’d have gone down drastically because most people are now shifting their attention to smaller European countries now. It’s the new reality, a sad one at that.

Also, after carefully analysing several comments of those who eventually got AD and posted on here, I find out they are relatively new monikers with few contributions to this thread. Therefore there is a 90% chance that those are fake testimonies. The remaining 10% is reserved for people who knows people. Odogwu always says people get AD in cat B but aren’t on nairaland. I believed him because some people are going in through the back door. Like knowing big people like politicians or going from another countries.

Although I belong to category B, I believe that someone who had a first class in a Nigerian university, or someone who won a scholarship will most likely face their studies than someone who has 2:1 or 2:2 because they have more at stake than us.

So instead of totally banning Nigerian students from entering, policies were implemented to reduce us drastically. Especially since most Nigerians wants to leave the country, and millions of people have bachelors degree. So it’s convenient for us to just dust our degrees, find 5m to block or SL and move to Germany under the guise of education.

I also believe that if some monikers don’t comment on here regularly, this thread will no longer be active on the front page of the travel section, hence the reason some monikers see the need to comment regularly in order to keep the thread active for category A. As you all can see, people are not really applying for education in Germany anymore compared to 2018-2020. And if things remains like this, they number of application will drastically reduce and then when that happens, they will/might start attending to Category B again.

Getting into Germany via student route is relatively easy for most Nigerian graduates. If we are going to change the current situation, we must kick against those advising economic hustlers to leave the student route for only students. The we must study well in Germany like we do in US, UK and Canada.

I am not saying the consulate is without blame for the way they handled this whole issue. A lot of us lost a huge amount of money for online classes, and there’s also time management, and in the end we still can’t travel after the hurdles.

But then the consulate’s reaction is as a result of our own actions. Germany is one of the best country in Europe for sure, but it’s not a do or die affair for those seeking to go to school. If you have other options please explore it, there no use getting emotional over what we have no control of.

Even if we protest from now till next year, the counter
method has been the same, a few people come out and say they are Cat B and have started getting AD and viola the protest will just die a natural death because we will believe we have succeeded in getting what we want.

If we can study in Nigeria then we can study anywhere in Europe and still be a success.

I particularly, I’m still hoping for my German AD to land. But I already have admission in one polish university, and still applying to others. I’ll advise every cat B student here to do something instead of doing nothing.

You can apply to university of opole in Poland. The tuition is not up to 500k a year and is affordable, there’s also a handful of other schools in other countries. You block the same amount you plan to block for Germany, about 5-6m and keep extra 1m for tuition.

When life throws a lemon, make a lemonade. My 2cents.

@OdogwuEkeke I still remember when I called you out on this issue tho you vehemently denied it. Both of you quarrel on this.

Could it be you have got some skeletons in your cupboard we don't know about?

Why is this issue coming up again?

On whose side are you, the students or the German authority (embassy)?

Vet any info you get before saying the information posted here is fake.

That is why it is a forum.

Such a narrative is not healthy for Nairaland as a whole.

Let us behave accordingly, we can do better. We can have misunderstandings without getting personal and lastly, there is no need to send threats or inappropriate emails to me.

Danke, Wir alle wären in Ordnung.

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by OdogwuEkeke(m): 1:47pm On Jun 02, 2021
Well, I am not sure if there have been some changes within a year, but I used a certified student copy for Uniassist and I gained admission.

The student copy had a stamp and signature on all the pages. I made photocopies and certified them at the Federal High court.

Everybody is entitled to his or her opinion but one person here always, all the time discourage protest.. he can go as far as providing 4 or 5 pages of document which an average student wont have seen... just to prove the embassy right.
The documents this guy posted here in April in support of the consulate, was obviously given to him...

Alot of people were even wondering how he had them. And some information he was posting then in April....
Even in early April when Everybody was denied appointment and disappointed he kept supporting them...
Assuming he got an appointment, it could have been a fair reason to side the consulate.. he still claimed he didn't...
Its obvious he never applied for an appointment thats the only reason he doesn't know how others feel....

I am no longer interested in any protest; but if any body raise it as an opinion, allow them to go ahead . And stop discouraging them....
One thing we all hate as adults is someone treating us as kids or being unsmart...
If you know the job the consulate sent you to do here..
Do it... and allow us to protest if we want...
I challenged him in April and he sent me a chat, not knowing he only wanted my email address so he would send to his boss ...
Oga i am not scared of anybody, I have a wonderful life here in Nigeria, wether I travelled or not

If Police oga talk say make sergeant shoot someone, the olopa go shoot without asking questions o.

Na job description. You should also reason this way, a huge protest will either force them to start attending to everyone again(which won’t be possible because we are too much and we know all what to say so as to convince the V.O.) or they stop attending to everyone including Cat A and scholarship students altogether. If 5000 cat B applies and everyone has Sponsors or blocked account. It’ll be a disaster.

This however may not be the case as it’s my personal opinion. I believe there’s usually an explanation for everything though so there must be a reason.

Germany wey give people for category B appointment for 18/19 suddenly stopped on 20. Something caused it.

Because you were unable to research no mean say some people no enjoy am - I do enjoy research a lot.

If you were talking about the document that showed the numbers of intakes from Nigeria Oga the thing dey online (link was included)

I said the embassy updated the student checklist this year una come for me say how I know lol. %#%"#" READ!!!

It baffles me how prospective students who would end up writing a thesis find it hard to get unclassified info online.

Lastly, about your email. I can't even recall any conversation we had. To my knowledge, I have been very fair and professional in every email I received or sent. People keep their personal identification off nairaland because of security reasons especially when you on sensitive forums.

Believe whatever you want to believe.

I have been following the arguments and comments here lately.
I will say these from a neutral perspective and nobody should ask me whose 'side' am I:
1. Another country will give opportunity and welcome people they desire-it's not your right to come to another country and you can't force it!
2. If Germany says they will no longer issue student visas to Nigerian citizens, what will you do? Force them? Appeal?
3. They spend millions of Euros to maintain the free public Universities and research centres, Germany happen to be the most friendly place for intl students and they can regulate the student slots based on education needs assessment, character, international relationship and reputation.
4. This is an educational thread but it's unfortunate that many posts have not depicted the honesty, at least for studying.
5. You think all embassies in Nigeria don't know the meaning of Zoo, Japa, Shit-hole, Escape etc?
6. If you, I mean you yourself, is a consular officer for Germany, a honest staff, read most comments on intent here, you will hardly recommend visas to be issued.
7. Finally, hide your hidden intents and try to focus on the basis of your application.

Some of us are here and the issues on ground are things we can't easily comment on.

For those who are interested in leaving Nigeria to apply elsewhere and has the money, here is an advice... Look at those Countries listed in the file shared by OdogwuEkeke on the number of visas issued by countries, prey on the countries with the minimum number of visas and try to move there before applying.
Remember that you MUST be resident in the country you seek to apply from.
