Congratulations. Kindly share your transcript.
sankofa:
Just writing this to encourage someone. Don't fret if you do not have scholarship or graduate assistantships. It helps to not have had past refusals, and to make sure what you are going to the US to study has bearing on your work experience. I got my visa today with $43,000 COA -- no scholarship or graduate assistanships.

Why did you hide the school and course.
If you said you had been reading a lot of posts here before you built your knowledge about these stuffs, did you see people hiding theirs?

This Nigeria mentality.

agaliboy:
I have been reading this thread for a long time and never commented. I have used all that time to learn from people's transcripts and questions. God bless you all because you have made my testimony a great one.

Please guys, I evaluate my HND with WES for Canada immigration, so please how can I upgrade it for USA education evaluation?

You will have to create another account, then you use the new account created to send them email using the Contact US option when you logged in, you state what you want and also state the Reference number of that Canada own, they will ask you to make payment and then transfer your files. This would be faster and should be ready within 10days or max 15days.

Mine only show amount for nine months. My account statement also covered only 9months and i got my visa approved.

Afrilag:
Hello Everyone. Please I have a question.

If one is going for a 2 year program, and your I-20 shows Estimated average cost for 9 months (x amount), does the total student funding on the I-20 need to show double or more of x amount because it is a 2 year course?

Hello,

Were you able to resolve this? And did you register for SAT through someone here? If yes, can you please link me with the person?
Hope to hear from you soon, thanks.

Lordsagna:
Good evening, I'm writing SAT examination next Saturday but the problem is my passport, isn't ready yet due to lack of booklets.... which is a prerequisite to tender for the exam... what should I do?... should I go to the examination centre like that and explain to them.
2) The school I wish to send my SAT scores to during registration, will they admit me?...or I can just apply to any school?
thanks.

Congrats. I got admission at UALR too and my interview is on the 15th. I hope i get mine as well
Francangel:
VISA APPROVED TODAY!!!

It’s God. I am still in awe because I never expected my interview to be so seamless, considering I was rejected on January 6, 2021 at the Lagos embassy. Glory be to God!!

Time: 7:45am
Interview time: 10:10am
Embassy: Abuja
COA: $27000
GA: None
External scholarship: $18000
Deficit: $9000
Second Attempt
Consular cubicle: Box 6 (A male VO)

VO: Good morning.
Me: Good morning sir.
VO: So, what are you going to do in the USA
Me: I am going for my Masters degree program in Journalism at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
VO: Why this school?
Me: I chose the institution because it’s master’s degree in journalism provides the perfect blend of scholarly research writing and journalistic writing with flexible and practical courses such as Investigative News writing and reporting which for me are greatly responsive to the skill-demand of the present age and align with my own investigative journalism career objectives. I was also attracted to the school’s dedication towards community services that are targeted towards children. Additionally, I was awarded a fellowship grant by AAUW to undertake an investigative research on Child trafficking for my graduate study at UALR. This research will explore trafficking activities that occur from Benin Republic, which is the hub for trafficking, to Nigeria, which is the final destination for most trafficked children in West Africa. I will be working closely with Prof. xxxxx. So I believe getting all these from this university will prepare me appropriately for my career as an Investigative Journalist.
VO: (nods his head and checks my I-20) Oh! That fellowship is AAUW here? (Points to my I-20)
Me: Yes sir.
VO: What is your university degree?
Me: I have a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.
VO: (nods again)What have you being doing since graduation?
Me: After my graduation in 2018, I interned in major newspapers and magazines in Nigeria as a news writer, investigative reporter and copywriter, such as Bleep, Bleep Magazine and Bleep. I have also worked as a volunteer in Bleep, xxxx, xxxx and Bleep. Currently, I work as a testing specialist for xxxx, a hr software development company and I am looking to transitioning full time into the journalism world.
VO: What does your father do?
Me: He owns acres of land where he operates a commercial fertilizer farm business in Lagos. He develops and distributes organic and inorganic fertilizer and animal feeds to major Agro-businesses in Nigeria. He is also a well-respected real estate developer. He buys, builds and sells landed properties. My dad has also partnered with several organizations to provide land for their employees.
VO: ( Takes the white slip and says the magic words) I would be approving your visa. You would need your I-20 at the point of entry bla bla bla ( I didn’t hear the rest cheesy)
Me: Thank you sir ( and I floated out of the room, I am sure I did not walk cos my legs were not touching the ground cheesy)

I would like to thank @horlahsunbo225, @schrodinger1 and @layez, for not getting fed up with my mock requests, chats and endless questions. God bless you guys real big!

PS: he didn’t ask for any document and trust me, the interview took less than 5 minutes.

Good morning nairalander
Please I need your advice on this
Went to America embassy for third time
Two Lagos and one Abuja
2nd of June

Vo: good morning
Me: good morning sir

Vo: why are you going to the US
Me: am going to ***university for my bachelors degree in *****

Vo: why did you need this degree
Me:I have been work at ***** as an administrative officer in other for me to attain a executive managerial position at **** this degree is essential

Vo: I can see you have been denied before this was not what you told them
Me: for my two interview I was not asked why do I need the degree

Vo: so you want to work with the government now
Me: yes at federal ministry of ****

Vo : sorry you are refused for same reasons

Please guys I don’t understand the reasons

How can you be confused? the reason you were denied is staring you in the face. The VO gave you hints twice. First he reminded you that your reasons for choosing to school in the US was different from what you stated in your previous interviews. He gave you a chance to get your story straight... he asked you "so you want to work with the government now?"... meaning you had previously stated you wanted the degree to work elsewhere.

This is one of the biggest problems I have with people posting visa transcripts for vetting... you should prepare for your visa based on what YOU want to do - it is a personal decision, not based on what someone has told you will sound good. That way, you always have one story regardless of how many times you take the interview. The interview is about you, make your answers about you.

Good everyone,
What is the is d chance for a woman who has a 9months baby that want to go for her masters with the baby be given visa OR she should rather not go with the baby, which is the best option for her visa to be approve.

Your chances are as good as anyone else. Your baby is 9 months... no one expects you to leave him behind to study.

I would advice you go on your own. Schooling in America with a baby, the Visa Officer knows it’s Herculean for American citizens let a lone international students.

So it would be easier when she is 2000 miles away from her child who isn't even 1 yet? I would think there is room for compassion...

I intend using my uncle's SOA for financial verification. However, on sending the SOA, I found that it was the name of his company that's on the account (I.e. Business Account).

Please, how do I go about this?

Will it not cause issues on Interview day?
