Thanks bro
Lekiboboe:

2 years PGD is better cos it gives 2-3 PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit) which will very be helpful in your Application for PR (Permanent Residence) in Canada, cos it would give you enough time to process your PR and give you like 2-years CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE unlike 1-year PGD which gives only 1-year PGWP (1-year CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE)

Await more contribution from the GURUS & other members

Hi

To do a Masters in Economics (THESIS-BASED MASTERS) or a related field in Canada , you need to take your time & look for schools in Canada offering Economics at Masters level, check their faculty for their PROFESSORS/ASSISTANT PROFESSORS then look out for their respective RESEARCH AREAS in ECONOMICS, if you see the ones that aligns with your RESEARCH INTERESTS/PRIOR RESEARCH EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND, send a non-generic COLD MAIL to them each.

See the link below for
Schools offering Masters in ECONOMICS at CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES, take your time & google them one after the other and explore their FACULTIES to see their PROFESSORS and their respective RESEARCH AREAS in ECONOMICS

https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Economics&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

Go through the contents in the link below, then relate it to your field of study (ECONOMICS) and research interests as it relates to your field of study/Academic Background/prior research experience. There are helpful information, documents & videos that can be of massive help to you e.g how to draft a Cold Mail, Sample Academic CV (CANADIAN STANDARD), how to search for PROFESSORS Who has Research Areas aligning with your field of study/research interest etc.

https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/561#101054570

As a Prospective Graduate Student (Masters), you need to have the following documents to kick start your GRADUATE SCHOOL JOURNEY in CANADA

- Academic CV (Well drafted Canadian Style Academic CV)
- Transcript (get the student Copy from your school)
- Cold Mail (To be drafted & sent to each professors based on their research areas)
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) for GRADUATE School (not SOP for Visa Application)
- Cover Letter (if required)
- Published Thesis (might be helpful) but not Compulsory etc.

There are GRADUATE SCHOLARS on this platform, If you have further questions along the line, do ask

Note: Your target should be for FALL 2022 (September 2022) or WINTER 2022 (JANUARY), so you can begin now in advance by getting your Transcript (Student Copy), Drafting your Academic CV, sending Cold Mails to Professors in your field of study & research areas related to your field of study.

If you package your graduate application well i.e Sending a banging Cold mail to Professor of Economics in Canada, A good Statement of Purpose (SOP) for Admission etc., you stand a chance of getting a Fully-funded or Partially funded Masters graduate opportunity in ECONOMICS

Canada Study Visa Application is another journey on its own, so get the Admission for your masters first

Thanks for the swift response. I will update you on my progress but let me get to checking for schools and how to send a cold mail. Thanks once again.

I am very sorry about this. It is not fair.

And while I am a March applicant hoping this continues sequentially through the year (Feb then March, then April...), I honestly think they should answer you guys first before they answer the rest of us. It is simply the right thing to do.

But it's beyond me. May God intervene.

This is serious... do you have mutual friends based there? Have you reached out to them? Have you reached out to the international student office of his school? The embassy? Just stay calm....

You don't ve to panic my dear, everything is in control. You can start with contacting the school your husband enroll to, and also did you ve any kid with your husband before he travelled? Since his family is showing indifference in the situation. Also, did you know any of his frds which they travelled together or connect together when he first get to Canada, and also unable to contact him for more than 2months and you are just coming out now is hard because of time. And also did you contact him when he first get to Canada? All this is what you can use to locate him.

Hello!

Greetings.
**Please i have some urgent questions**

1) My sponsor is my dad, if as a civil servant(him) without company, can he just give a letter of reference on his own that he is sponsoring me, without any letter headed company?

2)How much should my dad as sponsor have in his account?

3) With dad as my sponsor, i need to upload his Birth Certificate together with mine right? Can i include my 2or 3 siblings too and is our mother necessary?, just to show ties
Or just me & him?

4)If providing employment as home ties, if i provide just 2-3 monthly pay slips of the company in my document for prove, is it okay?

5) Lastly, for we Nigerians, it is GC-key right?
Can we create the account anytime even if am winter(Jan) 2022 or when we are ready to submit visa application?

Some people have been able to secure their study permit with low IELTS score, but I personally wouldn't take the risk. Submit MyBankStatement and write a letter of explanation stating you're unable to submit IELTS result because the earliest available date is way beyond the deadline.
Did the people you’re talking about get theirs understand the NSE program?

1.) Yes, his sponsorships letter can be on a plain A4 with his signature, address and personal contact (phone and email). Attach any available documents you can get to show that he his a civil servant. i.e work I.D card, last promotion letter, employment letter, salary voucher etc.

2.) Your cost of attendance is tuition plus at least CAD 10000 for living expenses. CIC also expect you to factor in the cost of transportation to Canada and from Canada after completion of study so you can estimate other costs of at least CAD 2000.

So in summary your total cost of attendance for a years will be about CAD 12000 + Your annual tuition.

The amount in his account to proof means of financial support will depend on how many dependents your dad have. Are you the only dependent? Are you the last born or only child? If you have other siblings, are they financially sufficient and don't require financial help from your dad?

If he doesn't have much dependent I (personal view not a requirement) think about ×1.5 or twice your annual cost of attendance in his account should be sufficient.

3.) You should include the birth certificate or international passport or other recognized forms of identity of family members that you will fill in your family information form during application.

4.) Provide any available documents you can get to prove employment status i.e employment letter, I.D card, promotion letter, pay slip, introduction letter from employer, leave of absence letter.

5.) You can register a GCkeys account and create a study permit application profile when you feel like. However, the platform will give you 60days duration to work on your application. If you didn't complete and submit your application before this period elapse, it will delete the created profile.

I'm so sorry for not itemizing my questions and thank you for answering my questions
* Masters Degree
* I was paid through bank deposit
Please one more question *how else can I pay for my tuition though the school recommended CIBC but because of the bank regulation of $100 per month my dad couldn't pay for the tuition with his master card please how else can we go about it the deadline is June 20

shupy:

Next time itemize your questions. It makes it easier to answer.
*Firstly, what degree are you going for? It's important there's a form of progression.
*A reference Letter will suffice but are you paid in cash or bank deposit.
*It doesn't matter which account is used to pay and no, you're not required to pay for all three semesters. Paying for one semester is ok.
* It doesn't matter when you apply. There's sufficient amount of time for you to apply since you're not applying for fall intake. Get all documents ready before applying. No need to rush.
*Use a letter of acceptance to apply and not offer letter.

Good morning. I want to ask:

1. how do I move like 1 million naira from my savings into salary account without it been suspiciou, I am using the account to show proof of my financial capacity.

2. If I can use an asset transferred to my name from my parents, can that serve as my personal asset declaration when submitting a reapplication? Is a stamped affidavit from a lawyer sufficient?

3. Or I am open to advice and suggestions to add this time on reapplication.

My parents are my sponsor.

My main reason for refusal was lack of personal asset and financial status.

Thank you house.

Well I would suggest form A but your deadline is close. And Nigerian banks are unreliable. What banks do your parents have an account with? Is there an initial deposit you're required to pay?. Most schools require an initial deposit.

That's a generic reason. It's might be broader than you think. Order for your GCMS note before reapplying.

He should use request for form A from his bank, then tell them to give him his account officer's phone number. Call the account officer and explain to him that you have a deadline. He will help you process in a week or two. Keep sending him text messages every two days or three, so he would understand how important it is to you. This is what I did in my case

shupy:

Hmmmmmm, I didn’t get text message but my name was on the list of available passports. I collected it through third party. This means that, an immigration officer collected for me(paid 10k). I only met with him.
