Italy go shock people

People Dey underrate Italy

If you put Italy squad man to man with English own and compare them you to see say Italy get better players

I will be supporting the Spanish team but I am not expecting anything from them

Spain has really decreased over the years. Yes they have enough to get by but they lack enough leaders in their squad. Not sure how much clout Azpilicueta has in the team. This is where Ramos would have been so ideal.

all the viewing centers that are around my side all put the time at 8:30pm

Yea. And it could be 8.30 despite what the Super Eagles official Twitter handle said alongside a good number of sources (pinning it at 7.30).

Eaglestracker NG also put it at 8.30pm Naija time. So when 7.30 pm (Naija time) arrives and we see no kickoff yet, then 8.30 it is.

Haba. Nigerian players have been hailing each other even on social media naa. Oshoala hailing Chukwueze, Ndidi and Iheanacho and they in turn hailing her. The love and support is real among Naija footballers too.

Oshoala is a Staunch Man Utd Fan but strongly hailed Chukwueze after their Europa league win. You need to see their conversations sometimes. Just love and fun. Lol

You also need to see how William Troost Ekong and others hailed Onuachu after his feats in Belgium including Moffi who is just joining the team for the first time and set to make his debut today.

chrisooblog:
just watched a heartwarming video of Mendy's Sengalese teammates hailing him for winning UCL after arriving camp smiley smiley

Hope Nigerian players can always stay united like that hailing each others wins

the look of soccer carpentry:

Square-shaped head

muscular leg muscles

carpentry doesn't get anymore obvious than this

I would love to be a carpenter who scored the first ever goal at the stadium I am pictured training in and let's not forget that the carpenter has scored 6 goals in one match before, how many none carpenters have done that I would love to be a carpenter like him and take care of my family in the process.

Ndidi and Iwobi in central Midfield and Iheanacho just ahead of them behind Moffi? Mbanu oooo. Not against these Cameroonians abeg. At least not today. Ndidi-Etebo will suffice.

Marcus could start but I don't know. I just know he will make his debut today. Exciting player on the wings with eye for goals. Watch out for him.

Moses Simon over Musa abeg. Ekong will captain the side. Musa can come in later abeg and also start the second game.

I really would love to see Moffi get enough Gametime. I would love to see him start but time will tell as Onuachu dey camp too albeit he arrived later than Moffi.

And nope... @bolded... It's Ozornwafor. You destroyed his name. grin

Italy's got a very strong squad and they will love to make a solid statement after missing the last World Cup in Russia (2018).
An attack of Insigne-Immobile-Chiesa is not to be scoffed at at all at all at alllllll.... They are Bad guys. grin

At the last Euros, they reached the Quarters losing on Pens to Germany.

England have also got a very good squad but their mentality as a group will determine how far they go.

As for your guys, Spain... Just hold on to possession and inshallah and we will see. grin

thanks for the correction Doc apologies to my Igbo peeps grin

My reasons for pairing Ndidi and Iwobi together is to see how the experimentation works. We already know what a Ndidi/Etebo combination brings. Sometimes it's good to take a risk especially as it's not a competitive match.

Doc if we were being driven by merit Musa should not even be in the squad at least in this period of time but eiywah! I've made peace with Musa's inclusion hence putting him to start.

Onuachu I think will best operate for us with a striker partner whos lose balls he can feed off on. Moffi can play the top 9 role and is built much in the way as Ighalo.

Yes Italy are one's to watch. Don't forget their midfield that has Verrati, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Jorginho.

Has he ever been tried in that position with the national team? That's the point I'm making. Friendlies are for try stuff out. Ancelotti once played Iwobi as a wingback many of us would have said he wouldn't do well in that role but he was decent.

Like Edi287 rightly pointed out. Iwobi in a pivot? Naah, don't expect much.

Even if he isn't sitting alongside Ndidi in Central midfield but playing Box-to-Box... I don't think so.
But I know he has played CM before while at Arsenal but it was perhaps just once or twice. Not really sure of how many times.

But shaaa, I understand your point of "experimentation". wink

Lol @Made peace.... grin Hahahahahaa... My brother there is nothing we can do about it. He is the team Captain and will always be treated as a Sacred Cow like all other Super Eagles Skippers were treated.

And yes, Onuachu alongside a strike partner will work, I believe. He could play the target man knocking it down for his more withdrawn partner or he pounces on the space created by his more mobile partner.
But if the likes of Moses Simon/Marcus and Iwobi (if they play) are instructed send crosses to Onuachu from both wings and always look for him with passes into the box (either to feet or to head) where he is most dangerous, then Onuachu as a lone target man striker will still eat really good in the GWG. (Note: This applies only for this double legged friendly).

As for Moffi. Yes, lad is built like a Weapon head. A battering ram (quoting Scorenigeria). He could be our Amokachi-kinda striker. A real young bull who can play the #9 role on his own. But Moffi is more of a "streak-striker". When he is in form, he is unstoppable, but when on a drought it takes some time to find his range. But it's like this for now because he is still young and growing. In all, Lad is destined for the top. Glad he is gonna make his debut today.
Could easily have succeeded Osimhen as Ligue 1's Best African Player had he been capped before the 20/21 season was over.

Not with the national team but at club level. Role doesn't suit him. He played there a few times at youth level and he apparently sucked at it.

Jinadu was a key member of the 2019 Nigeria U-17 Class that played at the Brazil 2019 U-17 WC.
