Good morning nairalanders .I have few weeks to graduate from the university ,I am studying home economics with a cgpa of 4.2 .And last year I wrote jamb for a second degree and I also applied for school of nursing and midwifery.
Have already gotten admission into school of nursing and midwifery and I have paid my acceptance fee. And yesterday I decided to check my caps,surprisly I was given admission in nursing science in one of the federal universities.
I have already planned to work in Nigeria for few years after going through school of nursing and midwifery which I must have gathered experiences before migrating to UK and start working and then convert my RN to Bnsc which is just one year unlike Nigeria that one need to spend another 4years in the university to get BNSc(Bachelor of science).

My question is should I choose tertiary institution or continue with school of nursing??
PS:school of nursing is 3years while university is 5years with incessant strike, frustration from lectures etc.
Pls which one should I go for?am in a serious dilemma... Tank uu for reading.

Go for the School of Nursing. Just 3years and you become a RN(Registered Nurse). With the RN, you can apply to work anywhere in the world.

The higher institution is better in the long run.. You will still have to go to the university so why not just start already

Since you already have the ambition to go abroad then I would advice you go for the School of Nursing.


Besides, with your RN certificate you can travel and work as a Nurse anywhere in the world.

Depends, have you been admitted to Nursing in Tertiary, if yes please do the BNSc, if no Go and do SON abeg
