Check the email you entered if it's correct, this is not a system error you just might be doing something wrongly

You don't need your passport to book, you will only need it at your appointment

Mpower funding works best as a supplementary fund and not as the sole fund.

Someone got an approval here a few days ago, despite including Mpower Loan.
noted thanks.

Hi

I don't know the reason why your focus for grad. School is on Usask alone, there are loads of Supervisors with research areas in Food Science and Technology located in other Canadian Universities. Avoid putting all your eggs in one basket.

A Factor that might have caused the supervisor not to respond to your mail might be the content of the mail you sent to them. When mailing a Prof. the COLD MAIL approach is the best way. You stand a chance of getting a response from a Prof. when you send him/her a non-generic Cold Mail.

To mail a Prof. look out for their respective RESEARCH AREAS in Food Science, if you see the ones that aligns with your RESEARCH INTERESTS/PRIOR RESEARCH EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND, send a non-generic COLD MAIL to them each.

Note:
You must have a Canadian Style Academic CV & Research Interests before sending a Cold mail to a Professor.

Don't settle for less, your CGPA is a strong one, and you stand a chance of getting accepted in a PROFS. Lab, you just need to package your documents well so can be able to submit a strong and airtight application which can be make you more competitive, cos there are some applicants with more higher CGPA, Research Experience, Laboratory skill sets than yours.

Go through the contents in the link below thoroughly, then relate it to your field of study (FOOD SCIENCE) and research interests as it relates to your field of study/Academic Background/prior research experience. There are helpful information, documents & videos that can be of massive help to you e.g how to draft a Cold Mail, Sample Academic CV (CANADIAN STANDARD), how to search for PROFESSORS Who has Research Areas aligning with your field of study/research interest etc.

https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/561#101054570

As a Prospective Graduate Student (Masters), you need to have the following documents to kick start your GRADUATE SCHOOL JOURNEY in CANADA

- Academic CV (Well drafted Canadian Style Academic CV)
- Transcript (get the student Copy from your school)
- Cold Mail (To be drafted & sent to each professors based on their research areas)
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) for GRADUATE School (not SOP for Visa Application)
- Cover Letter (if required)
- Published Thesis (might be helpful) but not Compulsory etc.

There are GRADUATE SCHOLARS on this platform, If you have further questions along the line, do ask

Note: Your target should be for FALL 2022 (September 2022) or WINTER 2022 (JANUARY), so you can begin now in advance by getting your Transcript (Student Copy), Drafting your Academic CV, sending Cold Mails to Professors in Research Areas related to your Research Interests.

If you package your graduate application well i.e Sending a banging Cold mail to Professor of Food Science in Canada, A good Statement of Purpose (SOP) for Admission etc., you stand a chance of getting a Fully-funded or Partially funded Masters graduate opportunity in Food Science

Take your time and Visit the Links below for Food Science & Technology Professors in Canadian Universities, then do the needful

Good day everyone,

I applied for a study visa with my husband as sponsor, do I need to submit my own bank statement? My closing balance is at 250k, I feel is quite small even if the cash inflow is consistent due to allowances and a small farm investment returns.

Does he need to pay the school fees since the school offers full refund?

Please help
Thank you for your time
You already applied. I don't think it's going to improve your application. In some rare cases, VO will request for salary account statement to validate employment status.

Greetings to all the gurus in the house and all the people who volunteer in giving robust answers to questions asked, you’ve been so wonderful.

With your help I submitted my application but I have a pressing matter which I’ll need your kind input. I’m currently not in the country and not sure I’ll be back if PPR drops, please how should I go about addressing this, can I get my passport stamped here in the US or can I send it via DHL back to Nigeria? Should I inform CIC of this development or wait till I get PPR?
Reach out to VFS for guidance.

I just saw something that Canada committed genocide to Native Canadians, could it be why they are like this in giving Visa, too long and you have to wait for too long

You are welcome Chief.

At this period, many Graduate Positions in Canadian Universities for Fall 2021 intake are 75% closed, only advertised Graduate positions by some Professors are still available but very competitive and not advisable to go for, cos if you are accepted, due to the Canadian Study Visa Processing time for Nigerians its very likely you not be able to meet up with resumption for FALL 2021.

That been said, try to Focus your attention on Fall 2022 intake , & start cold mailing them by July 2021 upward, Professors do respond well to cold mail during that period. January 15 of every year is the deadline some Canadian & U.S Universities give out Fully-funded Graduate offers for Qualified Candidates.

I would post Some some result-oriented COLD MAIL SAMPLES for Prospective Graduate Students tomorrow here on the platform. You can use it to revamp your initial cold mails

Delete the email you typed even though it's correct and type it again manually. The box is very sensitive. It would tell you the email is wrong if you paste it there instead of typing manually.

For over 6 hours now, every time I try to login to my CIC portal, it redirects back to CIC home page (English/French selection page).
Am I the only one facing this issue ? And how can I solve it ?

Not sure anyone has responded but this is what I think it means. There is a backlog of students who have been offered admission for previous terms but have not resumed due to delay in visa processing, so there is priority for those people when their visas come through. They will give them a spot before fresh applicants and in some cases close the applications early.

Case in point: A friend was to resume in Sep 2020 but due to delay in visa approval she deferred to Jan 2021. But she got her Visa after January , so she requested for May term and got it. I hope it makes sense?

Greetings everyone.
Putting this out here for y'all advise.
My sis finished a B.A Islamic studies.
She has been learning sewing skills and trading clothing materials. She already Registered her biz and she has certificate for the sewing skills.
She intends to further her fashion skills in Fanshawe (diploma in Fashion Design).

Yes, she does!
Most fashion professors in Canada find Nigerian students pretty interesting actually!
She can also check George Brown College as there's opportunity there for the Fashion Scholarship Fund.
Seneca College is also a good try
Since she has an experience it wouldn't be that difficult to get an admission. Just an essay and a portfolio would do most times.

All my best
