Kudiratu28: Yah, gift deed! But for what amount? The 10kcad + the full tuition fee? Nevertheless, few proves should still be provided about the person gifting you and willing to sponsor you. Make more researches on this, people might have some to say about this Peace! |

emmalextemtop: It is necessary, that is why they ask for BS or MBS. It must not be a business, if he is a civil servant, his salary account will do but if you say he is a business man, then I think you should submit his business registration documents also. Note: This is not a physical interview where you will be required to explain some things, bare in mind that all you submit will do the explanation in your absence, so don't give the VO the impression that the funds 'might' be fraudulent. |

Dear Nairalanders, what's the best way to tackle this reason for denial? “I am not satisfied you will leave Canada at the end of your stay based on your personal assets and financial status” The student in question is female, earns an average salary of about 150,000 Naira monthly. Has no assets to her name. How can we tackle this and convince the immigration specialist to issue a visa? |

To give a clearer picture. This is her second denial. Reason for first denial in 2019 was "lack of sufficient funds to pay tuition, maintain self etc". After which we reapplied and gave detailed explanations and a very satisfying bank statement from sponsor. Now a second denial with a different reason. " I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status" We are thinking of doing a gift of deed of a land from parent to her. Would it look suspicious? What are better ways of handling this and presenting a robust case to the visa officer? We are about to reapply. RELAN2446: |

I intend applying by September for June 2022 intake. |

Run from agents. You can do the application all by yourself. Oviebright: 1 Like |

Who's the sponsor to the PA? Did the PA show ties between herself and the sponsor? Did the PA /sponsor pay any amount towards tuition? Did she include affidavit of support? The VO obviously believes the fund won't be available or enough for the PA. naijaoyibo: 1 Like |

Olafunds200: Hello Olafunds200, I am guessing maybe you failed to revise your LOA after it was issued. It is common amongst schools not to refund if the visa wasn't denied or sometimes they may, but only on critical compassionate ground. Getting your money back is almost impossible. You can reason with the financial department, hear what they have to say. Best of Luck |

Good morning house. I have applied for my gsmc note. so I preparation for reapplication. At least: I want to put a land and a house in my name, transferred from my parents and it will be backdated. Is that alright? I also want to move some money into my salary account, wouldn't it look suspicious? How do I go about this so it won't be flagged? Thank you. |

My agent said he applied to the Algonquin college since March he used his email to apply. So I don’t have access to the said account he used in applying. I asked him why he didn’t use my mail in applying he said that’s the way he does other students own too. I feel like beating the man. 2 Likes |

naijaoyibo: 1. Get your gcms notes 2. Personal assets and financial status is usually as a result of finance that cannot be proved to be available. It could be caused by ; - An unclear relationship between the sponsor and the principal applicant. - Lump sum - Doubt about the sponsor’s ability to actually make the funds available for the PA. So, if the sponsor is not your direct relative(Mum, Dad or Sibling), then it could be as a result of that. Of course, if there is unexplained or unjustifiable sum in your sponsor’s account, then that could have been the reason. It could also be other stuffs, but it usually has nothing to do with the applicant’s “assets and financial status”. I am sure gurus here will give better explanation. Best of lucks! And it will end in praise for us all. 1 Like |

After applying, the school usually send you a mail, with your student id and a link to change password and stuff... I applied to some schools on my own, and also used an agent when I felt i was getting overwhelmed... So, ask him again or ask for a refund... Oviebright: |

ritzzybaron: Hello Ritzzybaron, It might make no sense that your sibling is a PR, resides in the same city as your DLI, she is also a co-sponsor of your education in the same country, she is deemed eligible to sponsor; why won't she also not want to shelter you to lessen expenses given the high accommodation cost in Canada? If I was to be a VO, I will base my assessment on these factors in assessing this part of your application. No harm spelling it out for the VO. It all depends on how much clarity was given. Get her to do a separate letter stating the availability of space in the house, the number of people that it contained, and the kind of apartment that will be made available to you. The letter should also contain her employment status, information, and/or details. If she would be responsible for your feeding, it should be stated as well. It should also help the VO understand how the cost will be offset (especially if she has a family) without it being a threatful financial interference to her (source of) income. I second her suggestion. Note that the discussion been talked about can be left out too without having issues. Everything boils to how well the study intent was justified. Best of Luck 3 Likes |
